My reason for supporting Peter Obi as a presidential candidate in 2027 is because leadership should be about listening to the people and being accountable to them.
A president should be willing to address citizens, hold press conferences, answer difficult questions, and explain what is being done when things are going wrong. Leadership should not mean disappearing from the people while the country faces serious challenges.
Unfortunately, some politicians seem more concerned about their SUVs, mansions, and personal comfort than the lives and struggles of ordinary Nigerians.
Nigeria needs leaders who understand that public office is a responsibility, not a privilege. We need leaders who listen, communicate, and are willing to be held accountable by the people they serve.
One of the things that really broke me this month was losing one of my favourite uncles.
His passing got me thinking deeply about life and everything I am working so hard for.
What is the value of all this hard work and success if the people I want to share it with and show how much I love and appreciate are no longer here?
Sometimes, as a young man, you focus so much on making money, building a better life, and becoming successful that you forget time is moving and the people you love will not always be here.
Thinking about this has really broken me.
It has made me realise that success means very little if you have no one left to share it with. While I will continue working hard and chasing my goals, I also want to learn to appreciate the people I love while they are still here.
Campaign season has begun in Nigeria, yet many people are behaving as though politics is none of their concern.
Then, by 2027, the same people may become frustrated about the economy, insecurity, unemployment, the cost of living, and the general direction of the country.
But democracy is not something we should pay attention to only when election day is approaching. The time to become informed, ask questions, scrutinise candidates, and demand accountability is now.
If we want better leadership and better outcomes, we cannot continue to treat politics as somebody elseโs business. The future of the country will be shaped by the choices we make and the voices we support today.
Now is the time to pay attention. Now is the time to get involved. By 2027, it may be too late to start asking why things are not working.

In business, you donโt necessarily need millions of followers to generate meaningful sales. Sometimes, even 100 people seeing your post can be valuable.
Think about it this way: if 100 people physically attended your event, youโd probably realize thatโs a significant number of potential customers to serve. The same principle applies online.
Your goal shouldnโt always be to chase massive numbers of views or followers. What matters is reaching the right audience people who actually have a need for what youโre offering and the potential to become customers.
Out of 100 people who see your content, even if only 2 or 3 become customers, that can still translate into good business. You donโt need everyone to buy from you; you just need to consistently reach the right people.
