🎥 “You leave right now or you die.”
Israeli soldiers went door to door in the border village of Ain Arab, forcing residents from their homes at gunpoint, journalist Lylla Younes reports in her latest Drop Site investigation.
The forced expulsion of Ain Arab was a striking example of the Israeli military’s campaign to ethnically cleanse villages across southern Lebanon, with an estimated 60 villages completely destroyed south of the “Yellow Line” Israel declared on April 19, barring residents from ever returning.
Younes said it is emblematic of what Israel is doing across the south:
“There isn’t any sort of discernible calculus here besides mass destruction and mass instability really and mass punishment of a people.”

@ChrisO_wiki They are no different from Ukrainians wishing for the dismantling of Russia. War in Eastern Europe must before the East Slavic elites become fascist, kill one another and/or launch genocidal nuclear bombs.
1. After Abdul El-Sayed's win in Michigan, a DC-based advocacy group Third Way will now spend $15 million to attack 'the left.' They frame themselves as moderate Democrats. Why aren't they that spending money attacking the GOP?
The answer requires explaining who they are.
NEW: New Yorkers have started a trend of tagging Mayor Zohran Mamdani to report problems around the city and the fixes are happening so quickly that the videos are going viral.
A dangerous playground hazard was repaired after a resident wrote a letter. A pothole was filled the same day it was posted online. And ahead of this week’s heat wave, the city installed temporary water fountains in Prospect Park.
The message from City Hall: no problem is too small to fix.
If you look at the parts of Gaza held by the IDF, i.e. beyond the 'yellow line,' practically every building is razed. Civilian contractors - not IDF engineers - typically razed the buildings, and got bonuses for every house razed. Netanyahu told the Knesset the point was ethnic cleansing.
Is the official hasbara position still that razing everything wasn't an attack on the civilian population, or a scorched earth policy, but rather something the IDF had to do because 'every home had a Khamas booby trap?' (Charlatan @Mr_Andrew_Fox literally claimed this.) Help me out hasbara boys: @ElliotMalin, @Aizenberg55, @JacobALinker, etc.

@WestsideLAGuy Number 2 is anti-civilisation. Men should be heavily stigmatised by communities if they do this. He did not fail. He has done what is good for civilisation. Being a provider for his children is a virtue.
@PAstynome Iran's drones are a commercial investment generating more than a 1000% return on spending.
It's a tragedy that the US has not invested in drones like China, Iran, and Ukraine have done.
It is often argued that the Arabs saved the legacy of antiquity, translating ancient (mostly Greek) texts into Arabic. That is not wrong
BUT
There is another, perhaps, more peculiar aspect here
For the Arabs, the Greeks were their one and only connection with the ancient world
One thing that drives me insane is the reality of the pre-decolonized world. Basically the entire globe belonged to Europe. Imagining independence in such a scenario is basically going against every possible grain
@nikstankovic_ Germans, Turks, Jews, Poles, Magyars, Romanians, Chechens, all of them being victims of local ethnonationalists and of the Soviet-Russian Empire.
https://t.co/MOvGgkmMpM
@PAstynome As much as Nazis wanted to kill at least 100 million people in Eastern Europe, the Allies have expelled 14 million Germans and have inserted a clause in the UN founding explicitly omitting that.
https://t.co/C982dmzYj5
@nikstankovic_ It's the mass expulsion of so many ethnic groups across Eastern Europe and Caucasus by post-WWII local non-communist governments in order to make homogenous nation-states or to assuage the security of the Soviet-Russian Empire, all with the explicit approval of the US and UK.
@irma_shvesk I'm a known shape-shifter. Those not speaking French can mistake me as a Latino, a Spaniard, an Iranian, an Israeli, an Anatolian Turk, even a French man. My English accent is also a mystery for them.
@PAstynome Now I understand part why Eastern European nations ( and Israel) are voluntarily submissive to the US and very suspectible to fascism at the same time.
@PAstynome The ethnic cleansing of Germans, Chechens, Hungarians, Jews, Romanian, Turks, and Finnish peoples across Europe by the Soviet Union + local provisional government (non-communist), supported by the US and UK, is criminally underdiscussed.
