"An American mother says this is the second time she caught strangers taking zoomed-in photos of her child at Disneyland. She confronted both people.

In the first incident, she approached a woman who denied photographing her daughter and claimed she was only taking pictures of a character. When the mother insisted on seeing the phone, she found about 10 zoomed-in photos of just her daughter’s face.

In the second, she saw an older man zooming in on her daughter’s face. He also claimed he was photographing a character. Upon checking his phone, she found about 15 zoomed-in photos of her child and her friend’s child. She told him to delete them. She notes he didn’t appear to have a child with him.

She warns parents to be alert about who is photographing their kids, says Disney should be aware of the issue, and calls it weird and creepy. She adds that she looked it up and taking such photos of kids without consent is legal in public places in California (including Disneyland), and that stronger protections are needed.
