UNICEF is outraged by the killing of two drivers of trucks contracted by UNICEF to provide clean water to families in the Gaza Strip.

The victims were killed by Israeli fire in an incident that took place early this morning at the Mansoura water filling point in northern Gaza. UNICEF extends our condolences to the families of the men killed.

Preparations are speeding up for the big 100th anniversary of the General Strike events in Barnsley on Sat 2nd May.

Here's what's planned:

10.00 to 12.30 - Barnsley Civic - breakfast and talks by leading historians of 1926

13.00 to 14.30 - March with brass bands from town centre to National Union of Mineworkers building

14.30 to 16.30 - Rally and speakers at NUM building, and performance by Commoners Choir

17.00 til late - Evening gig at Vault 27, with Ferocious Dog, The Wakes, The Primevals, Katrina Tia Charles, and more.
