I’ve been writing about the Get Back sessions for 10 yrs, approaching it w/same attitude we’ll see in #TheBeatlesGetBack. I’m no filmmaker but am a writer/researcher & if you want to flesh it all - you should - visit https://t.co/SLdvi4UzzU for that & beyond. It’s well-regarded!
Finished first listen to Dungeon Lane. Loved it, exactly what I hoped Paul would be making now - sparse, measured, precise pop songs. No wasted moments. Production reminded me of Wildflowers by Tom Petty (which I love, it's one of my favorite LPs). Keep that one, mark it fab.

I also made it up to Cilla's old Portland Place apartment in Marylebone on the 2024 UK trip. It was a party pad that included plenty of Beatle visits and New Year’s Eve parties
Just a few feet away from where Mal stood outside the Cavern now stands a statue honoring Cilla Black, and what a coincidence today would have been her birthday, too (83rd) 🎂
I reviewed the new @PaulMcCartney album "The Boys of Dungeon Lane" (spoiler: I like it!) and wrapped in some thoughts about the new Wings exhibit at @rockhall. https://t.co/bTZikdheQp
With so many staggered release dates, there's always a Let It Be-related anniversary in May.
OTD in 1970 (May 20), Let It Be film enjoyed gala premieres in London and Liverpool. No Beatles showed up, but plenty of adjacent figures and celebrities attended. 🎥
@mwardlaw@rockhall I'll say it here, too! It was, as always, a blast to get to spend some time with you and @anniezaleski, especially in our element and in the shadow of Robbie the Robot and Back to the Egg ephemera 👐
We got a chance to see the new @PaulMcCartney exhibit at the @rockhall. Check out photos, plus our interview and thoughts about the presentation. https://t.co/sIGygtCr71
@NemoNihil1664 I DID! It literally gave me chills and brought me to tears, I was so happy that reunion happened. The glances they stole naturally reminded me of these other guys who played together after a (shorter) layoff as emotions flowed
It's January 24, Jools Holland's birthday, and as a lifelong Squeeze superfan, I’m happy to excuse to tie together a Jools-Beatles thread, starting w/something Get Back-related, a 2005 interview w/Billy Preston (who performs, too). Some Beatles talk 🎂

Happy anniversary - again - to the "the most eagerly awaited album ever issued!" Let It Be: released 56 yrs ago today (May 18, 1970) in the US, 10 days after it was first out in the UK. (It reportedly set a record with 3.7M advance orders in the US, so the claim's justified!)
Happy 56th the Let It Be LP, released (in the UK) May 8, 1970. It’s spirited, soulful, confusing and emotional, a compilation both disjoined yet cohesive at once, a true reflection of the late-stage Beatles. Read all about its making, forever, at https://t.co/SLdvi4UzzU 🎂🎁🍎
@rnrdiva With the caveat that everyone’s mileage may vary, they gave us time in 30-min increments, and I was pretty satisfied. I didn’t necessary read *every* description and some items I glanced more than studied. But it worked. I also didn’t really dig much into the interactive thing
My intention was to post in real time from last night’s opening party of the McCartney/Wings exhibit at the Rock Hall in Cleveland, but I was consumed by the content and being social, having a good time. I won’t post every detail - you should come out here, it’s amazing 👐
At the @rockhall for the opening party of the new McCartney exhibit. Just heard “Bip Bop” playing on the sound system on my way in (now “Country Dreamer”) so it’s gonna get real.
