I was on a motorcycle same days ago and I was trying to give the rider directions
He kept asking me to repeat it
I assumed he could not hear because of the wind so I raised my voice and tried shouting
Then it clicked
I said it in Hausa just once and he got it.
Just one sentence and he understood immediately
It was not in the shout
It was not in the repetition
It was the language
The Holyspirit was letting me know that a lot of us struggle to hear God because we are not speaking His language
We wonder why we are not hearing clear instructions and directions even though we pray the loudest
You dance the hardest
You’re the one that is everywhere in church but you can’t remember when last you heard God clearly about anything
You don’t understand that His language is not how much but how well
His language is humility so desiring to have so you can pepper your neighbours is a lost cause
He cares more about the size of your obedience than the size of your audience
So while you’re trying to gather a large crowd before you hold that prayer meeting God has left you and is putting the burden on someone else that will act promptly
His language is contrition so while you’re wondering why God is using that your roommate that used to be promiscuous and not you
While you were busy showing him your clean record and being proud about it , that lady was begging God in her closet that if he shows her mercy she will give the rest of her life to Him
You need to understand His language then you can hear even His whispers
Selah!
I'm not a Christian because I was born into Christianity. That's cultural Christianity. Richard Dawkins, a bishop of atheism, identifies as a cultural Christian. Won't get you to heaven. Not even the airport. Christianity demands personal affirmation. It's a conscious decision.
Be consistent with that devotion
Even when you don’t feel it
Even when it seems dry
It’s a trick of the devil to get you to be prayer less.
Before you know it you can’t even find your spiritual life
Pray the prayer like that
Stay consistent
You know what shocked me when I converted to Christianity from Islam?
The deeper I got into Christianity, the more I realized it's the only thing I've ever touched that doesn't run out.
You can master business, law, medicine, psychology, investing.
And then what?
You die.
Your accomplishments become a résumé nobody reads and a legacy most people forget.
But Christianity is different.
There is no ceiling.
No finish line.
No "you've made it" badge.
The deeper you go, the deeper it gets.
It tears down your pride, rebuilds your identity, and keeps transforming you long after every other pursuit has reached its limit.
I used to think Christianity was soft.
Too forgiving.
Too emotional.
Too much "God loves you."
Now I see it as the most radical truth
I've ever encountered.
A holy God stepped into the dirt, faced humanity head-on, and made a way home for people who could never save themselves.
He doesn't demand perfection first.
He says, "Come home."
Show me another kingdom that survives death.
Show me another King people willingly suffer, sacrifice, and die for two thousand years later.
You can't.
Because Christianity isn't just a religion.
It's the only eternal story I've ever found.
And Jesus is the cornerstone that never crumbles.
Peeing more than two times a night is not normal.
I don’t care what you told yourself. I don’t care that your father did it too. I don’t care that you Googled it and the internet said “drink less water before bed.”
If you are waking up 2, 3, 4 times a night to urinate — your body is telling you something. And it is not “drink less water.”
It could be your blood sugar. Elevated glucose makes your kidneys work overtime to flush the excess. Your body is literally peeing out the sugar you ate for dinner.
It could be your prostate. Enlarged. Inflamed. Pressing on your bladder. Not because of age. Because of what you have been eating for twenty years.
It could be your blood pressure. The kidneys and the heart are in constant conversation. When one is struggling, the other compensates. At night, that compensation shows up as frequent urination.
It could be all three. At the same time. Working together to wake you up every two hours while you blame the heat.
The heat is not waking you up. Your plate is.
Stop normalising it. Stop managing it. Get tested. Check your fasting sugar. Check your PSA. Check your blood pressure. Then reach out.
Your body is not supposed to wake you up more than twice at night to urinate. That is not a feature. That is a warning.
Night is for sleep not peeing!

Before you follow me, know this.
I am not a doctor. I am a nutritionist.
I do not replace doctors.
I do not tell people to stop medication.
I do not diagnose.
I do not prescribe.
I build plates.
I believe most of the chronic conditions eating Nigerians alive — hypertension, diabetes, PCOS, fibroids, fatty liver, gout, infertility — started on the plate and can be answered on the plate.
Not cured by me.
Not healed by me.
Answered by food.
By rhythm.
By rebuilding what processed products stole over twenty years.
I will never tell you to eat wheat.
I will never tell you sugar is fine in moderation.
I will never tell you seed oils are neutral.
I will never tell you three meals a day is healthy.
I will never tell you breakfast is the most important meal.
I do not care if that makes me unpopular.
I care if it makes you well.
If you are here for comfortable health advice, you are in the wrong place.
If you are here because something in your body is speaking louder than your excuses, stay. Read. Pay attention.

HOW I EXPLAINED GALLSTONES TO A 5 YEAR OLD.
Child: What are gallstones?
Me: You know how soap works? When you add water and rub it, it makes bubbles and cleans things?
Child: Yes.
Me: Your body makes its own soap inside. It is called bile. It lives in a small bag near your liver. When you eat food with fat like eggs or meat, the bag squeezes, and the soap comes out and helps break the food into small pieces so your body can use it.
Child: So the soap cleans the food?
Me: Yes.
But here is the problem.
If you stop eating fat, if somebody tells you fat is bad and you stop eating eggs and meat and palm oil, the bag stops squeezing.
The soap just sits there.
And when soap sits for a very long time without moving, it gets hard.
Like when you leave soap in the sun and it cracks.
Child: So the soap becomes a stone?
Me: Yes.
That is a gallstone.
A small, hard stone made from soap that nobody used because nobody ate the food that makes the bag squeeze.
Child: So you need to eat fat so the soap does not become a stone?
Me: Yes.
Your body needs fat.
Not the bad fat from the factory.
The good fat.
Eggs.
Palm oil.
Butter.
Fish.
The fat your grandmother cooked with.
Child: My grandmother is smart.
Me: Your grandmother is very smart.
And she never had gallstones.
Don't forget to reach out for a well-structured meal plan that keeps bile flowing, supports digestion, and prevents your body from turning “soap into stones.”
I used to think Jesus couldn't be God because He didn't fight back.
Arrested. Mocked. Beaten. Crucified. And He just took it.
I thought, "Where's the power in that?"
Then I realized something that shattered me:
Jesus wasn't refusing to fight because He was weak. He was refusing to fight because He was dying for us.
It's like asking why a father doesn't strike back when his hurting child lashes out at him.
Love doesn't always defend itself. Sometimes it absorbs the blow to heal the one causing it.
Islam taught me that strength was domination. The cross taught me that strength is restraint.
Real power is having the ability to destroy and choosing to forgive instead.
Jesus wasn't a victim.
He predicted His own death.
Walked straight toward it.
Held back legions of angels.
And chose the cross anyway.
"No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of my own accord." (John 10:18)
That's not weakness.
That's a King so committed to saving His enemies that He willingly suffered for them.
Jesus didn't fight for a crown. He took a cross to win the war forever.
He wasn't proving He was God by destroying His enemies.
He was proving how far God would go to save them.
That's not weakness. That's how heaven wins.
NOBODY TOLD YOU:
Blood pressure rarely rises because of one thing.
It rises because multiple things on the plate start working together against the body.
Here are five of the biggest drivers.
Insulin resistance.
This is one of the major engines behind high blood pressure.
When insulin stays elevated for too long, the kidneys retain more sodium, blood vessels become less flexible, and the nervous system stays overstimulated. Over time, pressure rises.
Many people with hypertension are also insulin resistant and have no idea because insulin is rarely checked early.
Seed oils and ultra-processed food.
Years of heavily processed oils and inflammatory foods can affect the lining of blood vessels. Healthy vessels are supposed to expand and relax easily. Inflamed vessels struggle to do that.
The result?
More resistance.
More pressure.
Magnesium depletion.
Magnesium helps blood vessels relax.
But modern diets built around refined grains, processed foods, sugar, and chronic stress often leave people depleted. When the body lacks magnesium, blood vessels can remain tighter than they should be.
Visceral fat.
The fat surrounding internal organs is metabolically active. It releases inflammatory compounds and affects hormones and blood pressure regulation.
That belly is not just “extra weight.”
It actively affects the body.
Chronic stress.
Stress hormones like cortisol increase heart rate, tighten blood vessels, and influence fluid retention. A body under constant stress — financially, emotionally, physically — often reflects that stress through elevated blood pressure.
Five drivers.
One reading.
And many people only hear about salt.
Genetics can play a role, yes.
But lifestyle, food quality, stress, sleep, weight, and metabolic health often determine whether those genetic tendencies become reality.
Sometimes what looks like “family history” is also shared habits, shared cooking, shared food patterns, and shared metabolic dysfunction.
The kitchen matters more than most people realise.
If you are tired of guessing why your blood pressure keeps rising despite “trying to eat better,” reach out on WhatsApp: +2349118909688 for a well-structured meal plan designed around blood sugar control, weight loss, and metabolic health.
On Hypertension,
Maybe the problem isn’t salt. Maybe it’s what your body is missing.
Everyone keeps shouting, “Reduce your salt!”
But new research just turned that advice on its head.
Yes, sodium can raise blood pressure.
But guess what lowers it even more powerfully?
Potassium.
Here’s what the study found:
— Doubling sodium increased BP by just 2 to 4 mmHg in men
— But doubling potassium lowered BP by 7 to 10 mmHg
— Even with high sodium, potassium still dropped BP by 5 to 7 mmHg
Potassium reversed the damage even in a salty environment.
So while you’re busy skipping salt, your body is screaming for potassium:
— To relax blood vessels
— To support your kidneys
— To regulate your heart
— To help insulin work better
— To pull sodium where it belongs, out
Less than 2% of adults are getting enough potassium.
And it shows in the stroke wards, dialysis clinics, and hypertension charts.
Here’s where to get it:
— Ugu
— Zobo
— Avocados
— Beans
— Garden eggs
— Coconut water (fresh, not bottled)
— Unripe plantain
— Bitterleaf
— Okra
Eat those like your blood pressure depends on it, because it does.
You don’t have a salt problem.
You have a mineral imbalance problem.

Diseases that will disappear once you stop eating bread :
— Ulcer
— Stomach problems.
— Gastritis
— Diabetes
— High cholesterol
— Arthritis
— Insulin resistance
— Fatty liver
— Malaria like symptoms
— Back pains, etc.
Try it and have the best version of your health.
Or don’t, your choice.
Don’t forget to reach out for a well-structured meal plan.
Nobody is going to say this to you directly, so I will.
That relationship may be affecting your health more than you realise.
Not just emotionally.
Physically too.
Constant shouting.
Long periods of silence after conflict.
Feeling belittled in front of other people.
Walking on eggshells inside your own home.
Living in a state of tension where your body never truly relaxes.
Many people call it “stress.”
But chronic emotional distress affects far more than mood alone.
When the body stays under emotional pressure for long periods, stress hormones like cortisol remain elevated for too long.
And when cortisol stays high constantly, the body begins changing in ways people do not immediately connect to emotional health.
Blood pressure rises.
Sleep becomes poor.
The heart works harder.
Blood vessels remain tighter.
Inflammation increases.
Visceral fat begins accumulating around organs.
Hormones become disrupted.
Over time, the body starts functioning as though it is constantly preparing for danger.
I have seen people with blood pressure readings that seemed confusing at first glance.
They did not smoke.
They barely drank alcohol.
Their weight was not extreme.
Their meals were relatively balanced.
But their nervous system was under relentless emotional strain every single day.
And nobody had ever asked what their home environment felt like.
Because many health conversations focus only on symptoms and medication while ignoring the environment the body returns to every night.
Medication matters.
Food matters.
Sleep matters.
But emotional safety matters too.
A body cannot fully recover while living in constant survival mode.
Chronic stress affects the heart, hormones, digestion, appetite, blood sugar regulation, and long-term metabolic health.
That is why health is bigger than calories alone.
Sometimes the body is not simply “failing.”
Sometimes it is exhausted.
The plate will always matter.
But sometimes one of the most important questions is this:
What kind of environment does your body return to after every meal?
How many people read this and quietly recognised parts of their own life?
Fasting triggers autophagy.
Autophagy clears out cellular trash.
That trash?
— Inflammation.
— Skin issues.
— Fatigue.
— Brain fog.
You want to glow?
You want to think clearly?
You want peace in your gut?

There are some very powerful people pulling the strings behind the scenes on this legal issue over airtime lending in Nigeria, trying to stick their straw into a market worth an estimated N400b annually. These people are close to the president, and are wielding tremendous power and distorting the entire economy in ways that would have embarrassed a post-Soviet Russian oligarch in 1994.
I’ve been actively aware of this matter for over two years now and the time may have come to tell the full story of how Idris Saliu Alubankudi, and his brother Shamsudeen Saliu 'Shamz' Alubankudi - both very close to Bola Tinubu and his family - have built one of the biggest and most powerful state corruption enterprises
in the entire history of Nigeria.
These men are attempting to capture the systemically important foundations of the entire Nigerian economy - specifically telecoms and ICT - and turn their 3 year-old corruption enterprise into a sort of Nigerian chaebol. You have never seen anything like it before.
You will be hearing the names 'Idris' and 'Shamz' a lot in the coming few days. Also don’t forget their family name 'Saliu Alubankudi.' It's an important part of the story.
This one is not for everybody.
It is for the person who has been quietly trying.
You who chose the eggs instead of the bread this morning and told nobody.
You who said no to the soft drink at the owambe and felt slightly foolish doing it.
You who walked when it would have been easier to sit.
You who are tired of starting over and started over anyway.
Nobody clapped.
There was no before-and-after photo.
Just a small, unglamorous choice that nobody else even saw.
I saw it.
I always see those ones.
The big transformations everybody celebrates are just hundreds of these unwatched Sundays stacked on top of each other.
You are not behind.
You are not failing.
You are in the part nobody posts about.
The quiet middle.
The place where the real work actually happens.
Rest today if you need to.
Eat something real.
Be gentle with the person you are becoming.
Keep going.
When I was Muslim, I used to ask Christians:
“If Jesus was really God, why did He eat, sleep, and bleed like us?”
And honestly, I used to ask it with pride like it was some unbeatable argument.
But later I realized something:
That question was not exposing Christianity.
It was exposing my misunderstanding of what kind of God Jesus claimed to be.
Because the real question is not:
“Why would God become weak?”
The real question is:
“What kind of God would willingly step into human suffering at all?”
Islam taught me about a God who was distant and untouchable.
But Christianity introduced me to a God who stepped into hunger, exhaustion, grief, pain, betrayal, blood, and suffering with us.
And suddenly His humanity stopped feeling like weakness to me.
It became proof of love.
If Jesus ate, it means He came close enough to experience hunger beside us.
If He slept, it means He embraced the exhaustion we carry.
If He bled, it means He did not stand above suffering watching us from a distance.
He entered it Himself.
Philippians 2 says Christ emptied Himself and took on flesh.
Not because He stopped being God, but because He wanted humanity to finally see what God is actually like.
And it turns out God is willing to suffer for the people He loves.
That changed everything for me.
Because every other religion demanded sacrifice from humanity.
Jesus became the sacrifice Himself.
And no prophet in history ever claimed that.
Folake started earning ₦85,000 a month in 2014, fresh out of school.
By 2017, she was earning ₦150,000. A small promotion. A new title.
In 2019, she moved to a new company and began earning ₦280,000.
By 2021, there was another jump. ₦400,000. A senior role. People started calling her “Aunty Folake” at work.
In 2024, she was earning ₦550,000. Twelve years of climbing.
The total amount of money that passed through Folake’s hands over those twelve years was ₦38.6 million.
Her savings at 36: ₦140,000.
She wasn’t irresponsible.
She paid rent. Fed her children. Sent money to her mother in the village every month. Bought aso-ebi six times a year because you can’t say no to family. Contributed to three different ajo groups. Gave offering every Sunday. Paid school fees every January and September. Bought generator fuel. Paid DSTV. Recharged data.
Every time her salary increased, her spending increased too.
A better apartment.
A bigger generator.
More people asking for help.
More weddings.
More funerals.
More naming ceremonies.
Folake did everything right by Nigerian standards.
And still ended up with nothing.
Because Nigerian standards don’t include a system for keeping money.
Nobody told Folake that ₦5,000 a month from that first ₦85,000 salary—just ₦5,000—in the right place for 12 years could become ₦1.8 million without her lifting a finger.
Nobody told her because nobody around her knew.
Her mother didn’t know.
Her grandmother didn’t know.
So Folake didn’t know.
₦38.6 million.
Earned. Touched. Held. Spent.
The most dangerous financial habit in Nigeria isn’t poverty.
It’s climbing the ladder and arriving at the top with nothing in your hand.
