Today, @HRCE_NS high schools will receive their allocation of teachers. They will find out how many LESS teachers they’ve been given.
That’s right…in a pandemic, schools are receiving LESS support.
We will have FEWER caring adults in the buildings looking after our kids.
#JustRockYourCane was such a positive message for my grade 7’s today from @TorrensJonathan. Thank you for joining us and thank you for having patience with all of their J-Roc requests and all of their car questions. 🤦♀️ @CCRCE_NS@withwozney
I would OBVIOUSLY rather have kids home and safe if it means we can get this wave shut down but that doesn’t mean I’m happy I need to juggle work and home learning.
People can feel both things. This is a lot.
I think it’s important and critical at this time for our leaders to give us hope, and stop yelling at Nova Scotians. With a few exceptions, Everyone is doing their best. The kids and families I see everyday are following the rules. Please celebrate them.
Public Health update regarding new cases they have discovered related to NGRHS. Due to the ongoing transmission of COVID-19 in our community, Public Health is now advising all students and staff to self-isolate immediately and arrange for a COVID-19 test.

During #nsed#EducationWeek, the best way for parents/students to celebrate your school staff is simple:
Call or email to say that you see & value them, and ask how they are- then really listen.
You have no idea what a thank you from families we care deeply about means. /1
@sack_vegas Sackville girl living in Pictou County. Halifax pizza hands down. One of the things I look forward to most on visits home...normal pizza (not PC pizza).
It’s unbelievable, that in the middle of a global pandemic, the @HRCE_NS is looking at taking away extra supports for students. Given the losses that many students have experienced, our schools should be looking at increasing supports, not cutting them.
Be positive. Do as many good things as you are capable of doing. Help as many people as you can.
There is enough hate and enough bad things happening, don’t add to that.
As an individual strive to improve each day.
