On this International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, we join the people and Government of Rwanda in honoring the memory of those lost during this Genocide. We remember the victims, stand with survivors, and pay tribute to the resilience and courage that continue to shape Rwanda’s journey forward.

Guided by the lessons of history, we reaffirm our commitment to remembrance, education, and the shared responsibility to confront hatred and prevent genocide wherever it may arise. “Never Again” must remain a call to action for all humanity.

We discussed strengthening bilateral relations between our two countries and ways to enhance mutual cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

Les échanges ont porté sur l’invitation du Gouvernement burundais aux cérémonies marquant le 77e anniversaire de l’indépendance de l’État d’Israël. Les deux personnalités ont également évoqué les voies et moyens de renforcer les relations bilatérales et d’élargir la coopération multisectorielle entre le Burundi et Israël, dans l’intérêt mutuel de leurs peuples respectifs.

Last night, The Israeli community in Rwanda and friends gathered for Commemoration marking the beginning of Israel's Memorial Day ( Yom Hazikaron).

In the recent past with October 7th Massacres, many lives of both soldiers and civilians have been lost, men, women and children.
