I attended the retirement celebration for my @AskewAllStars Elementary theatre teacher Noel Bowers! It was nice seeing the impact Mr. Bowers had on the Askew community as well as seeing my Askew people including some I haven’t seen in over 20 years!

This Memorial Day Weekend, Gloria and I had the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbor. The visit allowed us to connect with history at one of the most important sites in the United States and remember the service members that paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.

This morning, I attended the HISD Sunrise Center Summit. Sunrise Center provides food, clothes, educational support, healthcare, and help with transportation to underserved families. New Hope Housing is proud to partner with Sunrise Center to help our families across the city.

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending the ECHOS Luncheon. ECHOS is an organization that helps families by providing services such as their Healthcare Mobile Clinics and Housing Stability Program. I’m thankful for their impact in Southwest Houston.
