I 'd love to know what you think about this new trend of development boards (single sided) with both header pins & castellations down the side? Have you ever had a project that needed it? Would it influence your purchasing decision? Please vote below! #maker#pcbdesign#curious
Me: I'll use that trick of a PCB with a cutout to help with the stencil and help alignment for the PCB stack up...
Also me: Forgets to allow for a cutout for the middle boards...
#SteveFail#PersonalEnvironmentSensor
OMG OMG OMG, the latest #PersonalEnvironmentSensor PCBs have arrived and they are looking darn sexy.
Personalized bottom layer PCB, black solder mask and ENIG make a for stunning board. #JLCPCB#Arduino
@carpetafhf I've not looked at it especially.
You might spot it's a bit high on the photos, that's because I'd just been at my boards with a soldering iron!
Theirs bound to be some issues when the processor is running due to heating from that & the regulator though.
Sure the @TheTileApp is great, but you know what's even cooler.
An #Arduino Nano 33 you can program, with BLE, temperature, humidity, light, accelerometer, LEDs and (breath Steve, breath...) and more, all on a key ring!
#PersonalEnvironmentSensor
@cocdcy @arduino@TheTileApp Eagle files here: https://t.co/KrpwoFA0Fq
Get top/bottom made in 0.6mm, then 2x of the MiddleWithRing made in 1.6mm @JLCPCB
Then get a bunch of 1k5 resistors and 1206 leds, an Arduino then solder away...
or wait till I fix some issues and list it on @tindie :-)
The LEDs, they work!!! Step 1: Tick... :-)
Temperature and Humidity display from the #Arduino Nano 33 Sense's sensor.
Paper diffuser makes the world of difference.

Me: I'll stick a #Particle Photon on the board, nice and reliable, easy to reprogram, more than enough GPIO's...
Also Me: Na, let's make this a bit more compact, go with a ATTiny84....
Also Me: Darn it! This would have been working hours ago with a Photon...
@richms It crossed my mind, however I don't have an 8MHz crystal (or any crystal that I could find within 2 weeks of hunting!), or a clock source - I do however have a hot air gun and a few attiny84's willing to take its place
that and 19 other PCB's if I really mess up!
Darn it, bricked my ATTiny84 on my new RS485 fan controller board, accidentally set it to external crystal oscillator rather than internal.
Which is quicker, rework -> remove/replace, or build up a the 12V fuse resetter...
I think rework with a hot air gun...
