Buttigieg: And my word of warning to my own political party is that we would make a terrible mistake if we thought that our job was to just take power somehow and then put everything back the way it was. That’s not what we’re here to do.
We’re not out to go around and just find all the little bits and pieces of everything that they smashed and tape it together and say, “Here you go, I give you the world as it looked in 2023.” That’s not going to work. It’s not what we need.
So much has changed, and the truth is they are destroying things right and left. They’re destroying a lot of good, important things. They’re destroying some useless things too, because they’re destroying everything. So now we get a chance to put things together on different terms.
@SenatorShaheen They refuse because they know you’ll cave.
They are like the unconstrained children born of undisciplined parenting.
So I’m guessing you were a dreadful parent who raised intolerable children.
And now your weakness brings pain to the public. Shameful.
@GregAbbott_TX …and use it for your own devious ends while your citizens drown in darkness. (Get it? You see, your shitty infrastructure is just one way you murder the citizens of Texas. Poor folk.)
@CarmenMcCoy53@eupaulaprado I’d like to add “extremely fragile ego that constantly needs caressing” to your excellent comments. Maybe the state of Massachusetts can name a bridge after him or something and then he can stfu already. But thanks, Aiden.
@JimCrooks7 @Brink_Thinker You are misled about the word liberal. My kids explore their neighborhood freely. I’m not conservative when assessing the dangers of exploring versus the those of staying put, refusing the new or different as scary. My girls know to stay away from Trump houses tho! #dirtyoldmen
@Bederowlaw@Dawning_9@MichelleLCSWR Yes to “who (as in individuals) one supports politically” but music & movies? I struggle w/ this, & not just b/c I loved to blast “Remix to Ignition.” How far back in history do we go? Whom do we reject? Do we use historical norms? Contemporary norms? 🤷🏻♀️ & as always, Mr. B: 🙏
They usually say it in different ways like "this class is pointless I shouldn't have to take it" which is subtext you'd notice if you pay attention in humanities classes
