@concept_central Basically you got both the task bar and menu bar (of the app) using space from the available 16x9 on windows, while MacOS uses none then. And you still got the option to use full screen ofc. Your other arguments are valid tho.
@concept_central Thats the exact reason why the display is not 16x9. You still see more on a Mac, since you can use the full 16x9, while on Windows, the task bar uses that space. Also, the Menu Bar is there on windows too, just stuck to the app window, using the same amount of space anyways.
@jensimmons Specifics: The banner for “this page is using significant memory” has a low threshold. It appears when watching YouTube videos for example. Clicking the x to discard it doesn’t work for long since the banner pops up again in a matter of minutes. Honestly makes me want to switch.
@jensimmons Specifics: Autoplay for video and audio in PWA. There’s no reason to limit this in a PWA since the user already accepted to use it as an app. Background music for example is a no go currently, and pressing a play button doesn’t work either since it resets on page reload
@jensimmons Specifics: iCloud tabs not syncing correctly. They build up for no apparent reason. I now see 30+ tabs as if they were on my iPhone, while I actually only have three in total. Some are several months old and deleted a long time ago, but they always return.
@MacRumors @HartleyCharlton It’s a good browser with some features that makes it worth using. There’s also quite a lot of bugs, like iCloud tabs not syncing (and building up), the super annoying banner (this page is using significant memory) and lack of new JavaScript and CSS features for developers
@JSuero12@SnazzyQ They didn’t, they made you click the button instead of just resting it on the surface. It was still just as fast if you clicked through
@LukeMiani Logarithms are inverse exponents in math, and have nothing to do with this, which further proves they have no idea what they are talking about
