HRC and Lambda Legal are both unrecognizable. After marriage equality there was no huge projects to take on. There was always legal issues and legislation to be pushed but nothing as sexy.

They were about to lose a lot of funding. Upper management changed at both organizations and much of both boards saw huge turnover.

The only issue still unresolved that could keep the money coming was Trans issues.

To be fair in 2015//16 nobody could see what was coming. We the lgbtq community saw Trans as adjacent and most just naturally supported it.

Unfortunately as we all know now the Trans community got very aggressive and as was finally revealed that many of us knew in our gut that much of what they were pushing and attacking anyone else in the LGB community was WPATH was putting out BS that wasn't factual.

The FTC last week started going after them. This will have a huge impact Trans support.

Unfortunately ignoring logic and the signs that things were going off the rails both HRC and Lambda dove in the deep end and went along with all of the insanity.

I know that this has and will cost these organizations in both support and financial support.

It's sad and having been on the national leadership council and planned giving chair for 5 years I find myself not able to continue to support them. Let's see what the next decade brings
