At the #GaryCon artist's booth I learned that Larry Elmore was willing to do the covers of the new Dragonlance trilogy but was told that they wanted a digital artist because digital art has more "pop." So instead of a cover like the one on the left we got the one on the right.

@newbiedm Yep, advisory stuff for a bank. Same ballpark, different ballgame. But I get to leave at 5 and spend time with the munchkin.

5e is the perfect engine for gothic horror now that vampires can *checks notes* grapple without a saving throw.

@newbiedm That's awesome.

Good to hear.

I'm not practicing any more but I still keep up with my law connections. Hit me up when she's looking for clerkships and I can connect you with some people.

[ThinkDM.org @ThinkingDM]

@newbiedm Thanks dude. How's the fam?

[ThinkDM.org @ThinkingDM]

@newbiedm Good man.

Playing some SWd6.

@Cavandocovas The initial DC is your warlock save, which includes proficiency.

@newbiedm Just my quarterly stop in! 😛

@Dominikmallen If you can't find your skill in an alphabetical list of 18 items, maybe tabletop gaming has too much reading to be your hobby.

D&D's new character sheet fell into a common trap.

Grouping skills by ability is bad design.

It's easier to find information searching 1 box, not 5.

New players don't know what skill matches what ability. You know what they do know? The alphabet. Sort skills by alpha.

Now that this has gotten some attention, I can reveal my devious plan to promote my own character sheet:

[ThinkDM.org @ThinkingDM]

Secondarily, swapping skills with different ability scores is one of the easiest ways to add some variety to D&D's system, but this already-underemployed tactic is trampled by the new character sheet pairing them together. Doesn't make it impossible, just more confusing.

Another victory for the environment! The Florida Supreme Court has denied the appeal of developers who had their project to build 550 homes on the abandoned Calusa golf course challenged by the presence of a rookery. They now have to start from scratch with a new proposal!

This post covers a lot of ground: Symmetrical rules, players making all the rolls, contests and their math, and stealth and ambushes. Yet somehow it turned out short. Usually, my topics grow in length. https://t.co/yOyBAsHRou

Great thread. For my part a big thing that we didn’t design for in #mothershipRPG was stealth mechanics. But the game is also about running and hiding. We don’t have fleeing rules either. Here’s why.

@newbiedm @Manolo4Miami @FrancisSuarez @BillyCorben @BecauseMiami Dude esta basura. 0.00 rainfall in the last 24-hours and it's already flooded. I can't imagine what it will be like in an actual rainstorm. There are places where the new curb is level with the street!
