@Apple@tim_cook Please respect your users and take your finger off the scale. We can make our own value judgments about what browser, messaging platform, etc. we want to use. Don’t stand in our way or we will go somewhere else. </rant>
@Apple@tim_cook Over and over again, I keep hearing variations of, “Apple blocked X app because it doesn’t align with Apple’s interests/values in some way,” whether it’s surveillance or net neutrality or even porn. This is unacceptable. Apple’s values are NOT your users’ values. https://t.co/4thzYjGZEN
@Apple@tim_cook Apple gets a lot of credit for not pulling any punches when it comes to security. But at the app level, this pattern of behavior needs to change.
Another example: it’s ridiculous that YEARS after iOS Chrome came out, I STILL can’t change my default browser or mail client on iOS.
@RepSpeier I believe these two common-sense steps would prevent a large portion of home-router and other IoT device infections, and make botnet and malware writers’ lives significantly more difficult.
@RepSpeier I am a constituent and work in the IT industry as a software engineering manager. I would like to see a law that (1) prohibits manufacturers from using the same default password on multiple devices, and (2) requires them to provide an on-by-default auto-update mechanism.
Thanks to the @SFBART train operator who waited the extra 30 seconds for me to hustle down the stairs and onto the train at San Bruno just now. Those little things count!
If @TwitterDev breaks @tweetbot with their upcoming API changes, I’m leaving.
The official app and website ceased to be usable a long time ago, and between that and the fact that it’s become a cesspool of fake news and shouting, it’s just not worth it anymore. https://t.co/YGusOaxOQG
@SpotifyCares Please create a “daytime mode” for your apps that uses dark text on a light background. This would be helpful to those of us with vision problems that cause halos/starbursts. Feel free to DM me with any questions. Thanks!
@SpotifyCares Also—please consider making this change across ALL platforms, not just mobile. I noticed the link you sent was tagged for mobile only, but I primarily use Spotify on the desktop.
@SpotifyCares I’m rather uncomfortable with the idea that people who need a disability-related accommodation from your app should have to garner enough sympathy—er, votes to get what they need.
However, I’ve added my comment and vote. Please consider taking this change up out-of-band as well.
Re-purposing this account purely for interacting with public figures. If I know you personally and follow you here, I’m going to unfollow you and follow you from my social account (which you probably already know).
@SpotifyCares Cannot change my payment method--your settings page is broken.
Clicking “Update” on https://t.co/9YTCud5nKT just reloads the page.
Manually navigating to the “Update” button’s URL (https://t.co/wzAbn0EgTA) redirects me to the “Subscription” page.
Plz fix ASAP.
In case you are dying to know what the new #BART trains look like, I got you covered. It’s like you’re on Space Mountain only you’re on BART and not Space Mountain.
I just voted no on #FISA702 because unconstitutional practices that Congress never intended, like #WarrantlessSurveillance of U.S. citizens' comms, would be codified into law. National security and personal liberties must be balanced. https://t.co/zdMVU6KkdT
I will terminate my @comcastcares account the moment they implement any kind of paid prioritization, throttling, or blocking.
Net neutrality should have ZERO impact on their business, because it only prevents them from doing things they shouldn’t be doing anyway. https://t.co/3NJIZhI1kU
The minute these companies attempt to engage in practices to tilt the internet to favor certain content, they need to be met with swift & forceful public outcry.
