Her name is Esther Wairimu Keige.

She is a senior legal officer at Kenya Forest Service HQ, Kiambu Road where she has served for over 10 years.

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, when she arrived home from work, she told her family that she was feeling uneasy after being asked to sign certain documents in the office.

The following day, Wednesday 10th June 2026, Esther reported to work at around 10a.m where worked until around 2 p.m. before leaving for her home in Juja.

But upon reaching Juja town, Esther mysteriously disappeared shortly after alighting from the vehicle she travelled in.

Yesterday, Esther's decomposing body was found in a forest in Gatundu.

Esther is a victim of abductions, torture and murder.

Who wanted Esther dead and why? Is it because of her toughness and refusal to bow to land grabbers who have been planning to grab Karura Forest?

🚨 BREAKING: The Finance Committee led by Kimani Kuria & other UDA MPs has officially rejected a crucial proposal by the Controller of Budget (CoB) to vet, track, and approve withdrawals from the new Sovereign Wealth Fund.

Let this sink in. The CoB’s entire constitutional job is to make sure your tax money isn't misused before it leaves the account. Yet, MPs just voted to block her from having written authorization over these billions.

Look at exactly what they said NO to:

❌ No Written Sign-offs: They rejected letting the CoB approve withdrawals.

❌ Bypassing the Main Account: They refused to route the revenue through the Consolidated Fund first.

❌ Avoiding Full PFM Act Oversight: They blocked the full application of standard public finance accountability laws.

By bypassing Article 228 of the Constitution, this decision turns a national wealth fund into an unaccountable black box.

If the intentions for these billions are pure and there’s nothing to hide, why lock out the COB?

This is a terrifying precedent. What is the real motive behind locking out the nation's top financial watchdog?

Note: This has not been passed by the full Parliament yet. This is the time to speak up strongly; we should push for the CoB to have a meaningful say so that this national fund doesn’t become an accountability black box.

BREAKING: The Communications Authority has just raised many of the same warnings I raised about the Finance Bill 2026.

• It wants the proposed phone activation tax mechanism dropped, warning it creates major legal, operational, and privacy problems.

• It warns that taxing phones at activation could require tracking device activations, opening the door to serious data and surveillance concerns.

• It says making phones VAT-exempt will NOT necessarily make them cheaper because VAT costs remain embedded in the supply chain. Instead, it recommends full zero-rating. I exposed this earlier when government officials like Mbadi were claiming the opposite.

• It warns of higher transaction costs and increased costs across the digital economy.

• It warns that higher phone prices could push more people out of the digital space and slow digital inclusion.

In total, the CA raised 9 major concerns.

A few weeks ago, many dismissed these warnings by us as politics. Today, the country's own communications regulator is putting them on record before Parliament.

The debate is no longer whether these risks exist. The debate is whether parliament will act before the laws become law.

NB- The CA met the committee on finance and national planning yesterday, where they raised these issues.

When three judges comprising a bench mandated to determine weighty constitutional issues STUMBLE over ORDINARY English words they are supposed to have written in a unanimous judgment, it raises serious questions on whether SOMEONE else, or some other people, WROTE the judgment being read for them. It tends to imply some impropriety, even if only subliminally.

On another matter, it makes no sense for Kenyan judges to spend hours reading hundreds of pages of submissions by the parties. It’s a waste of time and exposés analytical mediocrity. We can do with brief summaries because submissions are NOT EVIDENCE.

Lastly, judges should not refer to parties with useless political honorific like “His Excellency”. Parties must be treated equally, without CLASS HIERARCHY, hence “Mr.” or “Ms.” are adequate and appropriate.

I don’t like @rigathi’s toxic and petty politics. I’ve disliked it since I found him at the University of Nairobi in 1986 singing “KANU and Moi Juu, Juu Kabisa!”

But as a man who is fully committed to fairness, justice and the rule of law, I believe that the Court’s ruling today was predetermined, is legally unsound and factually faulty. It should be overturned on appeal.

The impeachment of Gachagua was not conducted fairly, was unjustly rushed and was motivated by parochial personal differences with @WilliamsRuto. The court ought to have nullified it.

I'm struggling to understand this ruling.

If the court finds that your rights were violated and that the violation could have affected the impeachment process, how is the impeachment still allowed to stand? Why is the remedy KSh 50 million instead of quashing the impeachment?

That's the part I don't get.

Under Article 25(c) of the constitution, the right to fair trial is a non-derogable right. So how can the court make quasi constitutional excuses on amorphous grounds in its refusal to set aside the impeachment of Hon Rigathi Gachagua? In July 2023, President William Ruto's government lifted the moratorium on logging in public and gazetted forests.

That decision raised serious concerns among environmentalists, conservationists, and many Kenyans who understand the critical role forests play in sustaining life and supporting the economy.

Today, many Kenyans are worried about increased pressure on key water towers such as the Aberdare Forest and the Mau Forest Complex.

These forests are not ordinary pieces of land. They are among Kenya's most important water catchment areas, feeding rivers, supporting agriculture, generating hydroelectric power, preserving biodiversity, and influencing rainfall patterns across the country.

When forests are degraded through excessive logging and destruction of tree cover, the consequences are severe: reduced rainfall, drying rivers, water shortages, crop failures, loss of wildlife habitats, and more frequent droughts.

The people who suffer most are ordinary Kenyans, especially farmers, pastoralists, and low-income families.

A government's duty is to protect national resources for future generations.

Forests are not a commodity to be exploited without regard for the future.

They are a national inheritance held in trust for our children and grandchildren.

The true measure of leadership is not how much land is controlled, how much wealth is accumulated, or how many short-term interests are satisfied.

It is whether a leader leaves behind a greener, safer, and more prosperous country.

If we continue to weaken the protection of critical water towers such as the Aberdares and the Mau, future generations will pay a heavy price through drought, hunger, water scarcity, and environmental degradation.

Kenya's forests are our natural defense against climate change. Once destroyed, they may take generations to recover.

The question every Kenyan should ask is simple: what kind of country are we leaving behind for those who come after us?

Why would a State Lodge require 100 acres of land carved out of Imenti Forest?

For context:

• State House Nakuru sits on about 5 acres.

• State Lodge Sagana sits on about 10 acres.

• State Lodge Mombasa sits on about 4 acres.

So why is a facility allegedly being planned on a piece of land many times larger than existing presidential residences?

Imenti Forest is not just another piece of real estate.

It is a cultural treasure for the Ameru people and a site deeply connected to Kenya's liberation struggle.

During the fight for independence, sections of this forest provided refuge to Mau Mau fighters who sacrificed everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.

When public land, especially protected forest land, is targeted for conversion, Kenyans have every right to ask hard questions.
