Let me reiterate again, I will never participate in, encourage, or justify the victimization of any fellow African (or any human being) for crimes they did not commit, create, or enable.

Africans must steadfastly hold their leaders accountable for their ineptitude, corruption, and incompetence, instead of turning against one another.

@Tyllaaaaaaa must be allowed to ply her trade freely, just as every African artist, worker, and citizen should be able to do across the continent and beyond.

The real problem is not ordinary African, it is the failed leadership that has fostered corruption, economic hardship, and the conditions for division. Africans deserve better than leaders who create conditions that pit us against one another.

I was surprised & disappointed that Sowore's 2023 manifesto didn't address this & plan to pass a law that mandates all elected officials to register their kids in Nigerian schools alone.

This would be one of the most effective ways to fix education for any serious govt.

When your national priorities are wrong, because the wrong people are in power, you can spend thousands of dollars deploying drones to light up the Lagos skyline for June 12 celebrations, yet fail to deploy the same drone technology to help locate kidnapped and missing school children held captive in forests.

A government that can mobilize resources for spectacle but not for saving lives has lost sight of its most basic responsibility.

NDC is trying to present itself as the new “serious opposition,” but its primaries have already produced confusion, protests, disputed results, and accusations of manipulation.

NDC only formally received its INEC registration certificate in February 2026 even though the registration struggle began as far back as 2017. Then the Obidient wave came in later. By early May 2026, there were already NDC voices telling Obidients, essentially, “we were here before you, don’t bully us.” Reuters reported on May 5 that Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso had ran out of the ADC-led opposition coalition and joined the NDC after disputes and internal battles in ADC.

It is Key to take note NDC existed before Obi entered. Obidients entered late, but because Obi brought popularity, they assumed the party would bend around them the way LP did in 2023. But NDC already had internal owners, structures, aspirants, and power brokers who were not ready to be swallowed.

The first contradiction:

Obi was useful at the presidential level because he brought national attention, votes, youth energy, media oxygen, and legitimacy. But his supporters and “lackeys” were not automatically useful to the existing NDC structure at every local level.

That is why NDC could embrace Obi as the presidential brand while still blocking or frustrating some Obidient-aligned aspirants.

The second contradiction is even stronger:

People like Aisha Yesufu and Emeka Ike came in with visibility, activism, and Obidient energy, but they are complaining about process, exclusion, or manipulation. Aisha Yesufu has accused NDC of subverting the FCT Senate ticket process and described the process as unjust or predetermined. Emeka Ike also protested after losing the NDC AMAC/Bwari House of Reps primary, alleging venue changes, disenfranchisement, and manipulation.

But at the same time, Omo-Agege and Victor Ochei who joined NDC barely days after leaving APC received waivers to contest Delta senatorial seats simply because they are established, old-order political heavyweights.

NDC says it is building new politics, but when activists and Obidient foot soldiers come, they face internal resistance. When heavyweight defectors come with structure, money, name recognition, and old political machinery, they receive waivers.

The big question is, what exactly is the criteria for leadership in the NDC.

is it social media fame?
is it merit?
is it money?
or is it paddi paddi arrangement

The biggest take from me is this, NDC did not become Obidient and they are making it clear.

Just hours after Sowore proposed a living wage for Nigerian workers, the governors have reportedly responded with their own proposal of a ₦100,000 "minimum wage."

That amount can barely purchase a bag of rice, let alone cover housing, transportation, healthcare, education, utilities, and other basic necessities.

They understand the reality of the economic hardships workers face, yet they continue to impose poverty wages while living lavishly at public expense.

They are in panic mode; they fear that Nigerians may discover that a different path is possible, one where workers are paid real living wages, public resources are used for the benefit of the people, and prosperity is shared rather than hoarded by a privileged few.

A minimum wage should guarantee dignity, not perpetual suffering.
