I miss being in charge of playlists then for an online indie radio station. #FIARadio was then reaching thousands until I left for work.

But I'm back and making that return journey after being in space for so long. And this song is my journey every 2AM.

Feel like #nightdriving for a #roadtrip? Davi who wrote #thesights worked with another trainee AZ Alcantara to create this refreshing track.

Share the music from these new songwriters and don't let the world miss out on them.

#Tagaytay is one of those memorable places as I first organised an #indieconcert here. My challenge for trainees was to write a song #inspired by a place.

Here's Davi doing this #dreampop gem. Enjoy it full blast tonight!

So THIS Friday is the day when my trainees start sharing their songs.

To kick-off, here's a #Franco meets #Maroon5 flavored track inspired by "The City" by one of my daughters in music, Thea Vito @teyatree.

Let's welcome John Rome!

Tips to fellow songwriters.

I better have few good constructive criticisms than lots of false praise because others want the same from you.

Give praise or constructive criticism on where it is due.

@msnixxie Take some break. Short walk even if inside. Drink tea. Listen to songs you like. Watch a movie. Or write notes, sleep then write again.

[Atshara @ThisIsAtshara]

@msnixxie Hahaha saan to Nixxie! Kaya nyo yan.

What's your purpose in writing songs?
Do you know what your element is? And why is it important to know first your element?

These are first day questions.
New free workshop for newbies starts next week.

@Songwriting123 It is a process of discovery, finding the great marriage between melody and lyrics, fine blend between mood and feelings.

Some say it's more on theory or more on inspiration but main point is Songwriting is a thought process. There's psychology involved.

[Atshara @ThisIsAtshara]

@Songwriting123 It depends on the element alignment of the songwriter. Some are naturally gifted in performing (Fire types) whereas some may need time to break from feeling nervous or awkward (Earth, Air and Water types).

[Atshara @ThisIsAtshara]

@Songwriting123 All I can is it's a thought process. A mix of getting inspired, knowing where to start, finding your element and applying tips to create good music.

[Atshara @ThisIsAtshara]

@Songwriting123 Although breaks are also needed sometimes to get new inspiration. Add each songwriter has a different element which makes them write at different pacing. There are those who could write lyrics everyday but may be reliant to patterns and some who wait or carefully plan. :)

[Atshara @ThisIsAtshara]

@teyatree Dear it's about getting them to trust you. Unless they dont feel your company is good for you. Assure them that you are doing your best to keep safe and tell them to do the same. He will do the rest.

27 days from when I started mentoring newbie songwriters and I'll be letting them soar on their own.

Excited for them to share their draft songs tomorrow and other new tracks in the next few days.

Will be sharing some here! Keep posted!
