please WGA: i’m just a girl in a pantsuit, standing in the sherman oaks galleria food court, negotiating on behalf of 8 old white guys named bob, asking you to work as close to the poverty line as possible to protect the stock prices of multi-billion dollar media conglomerates
Solidarity to the WGA
When animation production staff threatened to strike, we had heartwarming support from some WGA members.
I offer that support back, even to the members who employed me but didn’t support our efforts to unionize. Everyone deserves fair wages. #wgastrong
Oh shoot dang, there goes my blue check mark too. It’s gone. The one that I had. It is only just now that there is no blue checkmark there next to my name. It was there before, of course. We all know that I at some point also had a blue checkm
I understand it’s extremely tough out there on the job hunt but when folks are warning you about a job and about a toxic environment, it truly isn’t worth breaking in/landing in a room like this. You don’t want to learn awful habits from this people, I promise you.
Had to listen to a group of older male writers complain that it was "unrealistic" to see married couples on tv in a bed smaller than a California King. Normal sized beds "took them out of the reality" of the show. They sincerely do not know (or care) what reality looks like.
it’s so odd watching people on tv who have essentially middle class jobs but they live around LA so i know each of these houses cost multi millions and they all drive status cars & their kids are all like status kids. like producers can’t imagine characters living less than them
@kayncli Yes! Also I think a lot of people who also liked it want to still analyze it like it's a conventional movie. Like a Find the Hidden Meaning game. Like it's a Nolan movie or something lol
I finally saw Skinamarink last night (oh fuck oh god it was so good)
So obviously I spent today consuming everyone's theories about it & I can say definitively
The only correct "takes" regarding the plot of Skinamarink are the ones where people make the movie personal.
