Acting like the Middle East are the only ones capable of questionable business practices feels either naive or simply xenophobic.
Are we really suggesting western billionaires are morally superior?
Tricky ground to tread.
I want every single @ManCity fan to know I am here; more than ever. I am, always have been, always will, be behind my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, staff, Enzo and you, our unique supporters.
Let me be clear: we will get through this together.
I love you all 🩵
on a rare serious note.
i’m ashamed of our board and their wrongdoings, but that’s exactly it, THEIR wrongdoings.
my fanhood predates the crimes our board committed, i support the club, not the owners and i will continue to support no matter where we end up. thats football.
Literally none of this excuses the charges, of course, but if you want to know why some City fans will still feel entrenched, well...yeah. Look at the video below (not the post, not talking about that). Of course they will. It's football, a sport which create an 'us vs them' mentality better than maybe anything else on this planet.
@ksenguptaa Doubt it, Man City being financially doped to create the best Premier League squad of all-time also pushed Klopp and Liverpool’s hierarchy to create an all-timer level team/performance level that they ordinarily wouldn’t need to hit.
Die-hard Man City fan Steven McInerney proudly says that Manchester City’s guilty verdict will not change how he feels about the team.
“It doesn’t change that fact that I’ve been watching Manchester City for 40 years. It won’t change that in the future."
It's only the start of the war. Some City fans will be tired of the process, understandably, but you better dig in because this will be a fight to the death. If you are asking who to trust between Khaldoon or Richard Masters, then I can't help you. Buckle up.
Khaldoon's statement was already strong enough, but that Ferran Soriano statement was absolute fire.
Only two end products here: either we get brutally fucked or taken down the Premier League cartel once and for all.
There's no going back.
VAMOS!
Investment in the club, the community and the surrounding area creating several new jobs in the process = BAD
Owners increasing a club’s debts to increase their personal wealth = GOOD
To say ADUG/Khaldoon offer "sham" contracts means it has to go to a court case. In which case all directors past & present should make themselves available to give evidence. Soriano looks like the fall guy here same as with super league. We back the playing staff as always.
All of these calls for stripping titles and rewriting history are largely coming from jealously of how dominant Man City were during that period.
Unless it is actually established that City were bribing referees, bribing opponents or directly manipulating matches to win games.
They built their team, made a lot of smart signings, developed players, had exceptional managers and, over those seasons, consistently played better football than everyone else.
You can argue that financial rule-breaking gave them an unfair advantage, and that’s valid. But every other team made their own signings too.
If the punishment is about the financial breaches, then punish the financial breaches. And don’t bring Juventus into this, that’s two different issues entirely.
I think the irony in all the stuff like this is that you can’t really take away the experiences and emotions enjoyed / felt by City fans or players still. Lived experiences don’t change. The achievements weren’t respected by rivals anyways, so not a great deal has changed
Don't care about the appeal.
If the players leave, face it.
If we get relegated, face it.
If we get a transfer ban, face it.
Accept the punishment. Bounce back from there.

@GeronimoMorgans Quit twerking for other teams. It’s one thing to chew out our performance, it’s another thing to glaze Arsenal and Sunderland like a drama queen.
@GeronimoMorgans Jeez we get it, team played bad and defence was shit. Team has 3 weeks to work out the kinks from a game we WON. Keep the manic energy to yourself.
