🗣️ Omgba Bissogo this great Ewondo resistant (circa 1855 - 1896)🇨🇲 Omgba Bissogo born around 1855 was the son of Nsôé Otù. This great Ewondo warrior was the Chief of the Mvog Otù Tamba sub-lineage.

Omgba Bissogo was beheadded in public in 1896.

In 1896 it was then the fall of the great resistant warrior. In order to stop the massacres, Omgba Bissogo made the decision to surrender to the German authorities. He was arrested and imprisoned at the German military post in Yaoundé (Jaunde station).

'twas then one of the first German defeats on the floor 🇨🇲.
This victory cost the Mvog ôtù tribe very dearly because the Germans led by Zimmermann responded with a punitive expedition by brutally striking and committing crimes against civilians.

He is one of the founding fathers of Ongola (original name of Yaoundé) with Essono Ela. During the colonial period, in 1895 he led a rebellion against the German forces present in Cameroon. Omgba Bissogo & his warriors won their first battles against the Germans.
