This DJed Spence pile-up needs to stop.
Ok, you think he shouldn’t have been picked. But the Congo goal was not on him, he correctly had to cover middle after CBs went walkabout.
It was his long busting run to earn a foul which got England going, and never hid.
Scapegoat.
I find the consensus BLG tournament favorites to be quite disagreeable.
On one hand, I do think this is the strongest team the LPL has sent over the last 2 years as an individual representative. ON is in arguably his best form, knight is in the conversation for best player in the world, and they won the last international tournament.
On the other, I felt like the top LPL teams have all regressed from last year to this year. Feel like only JDG leveled up but I'd take '25s AL, TES, or iG over any of the competition BLG faced in the league so far this year.
knight should be in the conversation for best player in the world, but I think 3 mids are at home from the LCK that are better than any of the mids knight faces on a weekly basis in the LPL. I don't want to take anything away from knight, he really is that good but he will be challenged more internationally than domestically.
Last year, I had LCK > LPL for the year. It was competitive, but taking a zoomed out view on how the regions viewed the game (draft) and top team roster builds (LPL teams were mostly overhauls, LCK were iterating on long term plans) led me to believe the region had edge and it showed from top to bottom (Asia Invitational).
Looking at things very zoomed out again, I felt like LPL was a one team region this split with BLG on an upswing and the rest of the league on a down swing and I value the competitiveness more in the LCK this year.
I think in the past one of LPL's strengths are they had teams that would miss top 4 of LPL and Worlds but could've maybe made top 8 at the tournament if they went. I feel that way more about the LCK teams that are home this year as I think regional advantages are making it harder to beat LCK teams as time moves on (player development).
But ya, I don't have BLG as the tournament favorites and find the consensus on them being favorites as weird. BLG aside, I didn't view the LPL as being as strong enough region to produce the favorite for an international.

Perhaps one of the few positive aspects of the #2026WorldCup was that millions of people got to know the anti-colonial and anti-imperialist African leader Patrice Lumumba.
T1 Keria 🇰🇷 on Pep Guardiola 🇪🇸:
"I watch football quite often, and I tend to watch it from a tactical perspective [...] Pep Guardiola was the coach of a team I like, and he's also a coach I really like."
"I get a lot of inspiration from watching football, I think organic play is important in LoL as well, so I keep finding inspiration in those aspects when I watch football."
