@KEdge23 I have worked at polling stations at numerous local and national elections. Voter ID is totally unnecessary. It is claimed to combat a problem - personation - which does not exist. It disenfranchises vulnerable voters.
@CelticFC Martin O'Neill's comments criticising the fans - who pay his wages - are a disgrace. To take Desmond's side against the people who fund the club - who have for long been treated with contempt by Desmond, is terrible I say that as someone to whom MON has been a hero for 25 years.
@CPhilpOfficial Where I grew up life was good in the 1970s. Almost full employment. By the time Thatcher was done we had lost an iron works, two steel works and the place was on its knees. But ignorant twats like you, Philp, are oblivious to the wastelands of opportunity created by your hero.
@BROKENBRITAIN0 Glasgow is not at boiling point. A few wee bams took the opportunity to stoat about acting hard in a single tiny area of the city. Meanwhile 99% if the city got in with their lives as normal by not causing disturbances and acting like wee fannies.
@SnoopDegB Shettlestin is one of the most deprived constituencies in Scotland. Fertile ground to persuade people who have been denied opportunities for decades by the rich ruling elite that, in fact, their woes are the fault of brown people - which they aren't.
@Peston This latest version of the Tories are unadulterated nasty c***s. There's no other word for them. Tax breaks for millionaires while they treat jobless school leavers - and where exactly are the jobs for them - like shit on their shoes. Horrible, vicious, venal bastards.
@griffitha Cutting housebuilders' costs will simply increase the profit margin for the developers.
You also want to reduce renters' rights so private landlords like you can squeeze more money out of them.
Your policies would make houses even less affordable for the people living in them.
@CharlotteCGill I just feel the show needs a natural comic and an old hand at the helm. Clare Balding and Dougie Donnelly should have been no brainers to replace Daly and Winkelman.
@DanielYorkLoh Well done that lady. Lanark in South Lanarkshire has been "decorated" overnight with Union Flags tied to lamp posts, including in the approaches to the High School, where several Ukrainian refugees study. The people who do this are ignorant racist morons.
@alextomo@DAaronovitch 4/4 (4) Why did Rangers' existing players have the option in June 2012 to TUPE over from old Rangers to new Rangers or opt not to and become free agents? These are the questions many Rangers fans don't want to hear because the answers lead to a conclusion they continue to deny.
@alextomo@DAaronovitch 3/3 (2) Why did they join the 2012-13 Scottish Cup 2nd round when Rangers' 2nd place finish in 2011-12 qualified them for the 5th round? (3) likewise the league cup where they joined the 1st round instead of the 3rd, and...
@alextomo@DAaronovitch 2/3 The four questions no Rangers fans can answer are: If the Rangers of season 2012-13 was the same club as the Rangers of season 2011-12 (1) Why did they not play in Europe in 2012-13 when Rangers had qualified for Europe by dint of finishing 2nd in the SPL in 2011-22?
@alextomo@DAaronovitch 1/3 Hi Alex. Your reporting of Rangers' downfall was excellent and accurate. Rival fans are still irked because many Rangers fans deny that liquidation happened and show no contrition or embarrassment that their club left so many people financially high and dry.
@Glasgow_Times 14 years on and Murray still can't begin to come to terms with the fact that his reckless, illegal tax avoidance scheme resulted in Rangers being liquidated, dissolved and ceasing to exist. He cannot take responsibility for his actions. An utterly pathetic and failed individual.
@on_the4977@Alex55CM_ 7/7 Finally, you clearly have no idea what jurisprudence means. It is the study of the philosophy of law and legal systems and nothing to do with the corporate law reality of Rangers' liquidation. Your use of this word only highlights your total lack of understanding.
@on_the4977@Alex55CM_ 7/7 The new club did not get a bye to the last 16 of the League Cup in 2012/13 despite the old club having qualified for such a bye through it's league position in 2011/12. This is because the new club did not exist in 2011/12 and was not the club which qualified for such a bye.
@on_the4977@Alex55CM_ 6/6 The new club did not compete in Europe in 2012/13 despite the old club having finished in 2md place in the league in 2011/12. This is because the new club did not exist in 2011/12 and was not the club which achieved a European qualifying place.
@on_the4977@Alex55CM_ 5/5 The old Rangers Football Club plc changed it's name to RFC 2012 Limited on the same date and was subsequently dissolved in November 2014, ceasing to exist.
Most of the old club's players opted not to join the new club in June 2012 under TUPE employment law regulations.
@on_the4977@Alex55CM_ 4/4 Sevco Scotland Limited purchased some of the club's assets including the stadium in June 2012 and was subsequently granted a conditional licence to operate as a football club. The new club changed it's name to The Rangers Football Club Limited.
