Proud to work with @SenatorLocke Chair of @VASenateDems, who closed Q1 as the top fundraiser in the Senate AND with the most cash on hand.
In an off-year, that kind of success takes grit.
If we want equal representation, we must invest in Black women leaders. #BlackWomenLead
.@GovernorVA couldn’t wait to install anti-woke guys like multimillionaire Bert Ellis on the @UVA governing board. Now @GlennYoungkin can’t wait to get rid of him. https://t.co/syepkHtRqE
Do, Virginia colleges and universities are going down the rabbit hole with this administration on DEI? Despite what the Code of Virginia says regarding what must be in their strategic plans? As a friend of mine always says, “call the roll and take names.”
@DanRosZiff It appears the BoV conspired to deprive rights 'under color of law,' a federal crime and impeachable offense. Regardless, a ⭐️⭐️General accused them of "misfeasance," which is basically a legal action with corrupt intent. BoV action subject to strict scrutiny. I hope Wins sues.
After Youngkin Appointees Vote to Oust VMI’s First Black Superintendent, Cedric Wins, He Calls Out “misfeasance that endangers VMI and the future of our nation”; decision "abandons the values of honor, integrity and excellence up on which VMI was built." https://t.co/FEpz1mHfVM
The Virginia Military Institute's governing board voted last week not to extend the contract of Cedric T. Wins, who made history as the institution’s first Black superintendent. https://t.co/BX5BZohWyy
.@VMI1839’s first Black superintendent fires back at the @GovernorVA-controlled board that fired him.
“The winds of resistance by the few have drowned out those who desire to bring the institute into the 21st century.” https://t.co/2A3oHoHKa0
But 34 year veteran Two Star General Wins was unqualified to continue at VMI.
"Youngkin appointee to lead state police was suspended for flipping cruiser after drinking"
BREAKING: VMI Superintendent Cedric Wins defends his tenure, blames "bias" and "ideology" for vote not to extend contract in first comments since the decision last week.

@PhilipScranage@bluevirginia@JonathanCohn “Both-and” for sure. Ideally, a serious policy proposal would include a new agency to consolidate efforts and avoid multi-agency jurisdiction, conflicting regs (and interests), logical tax code, etc. Also needs intl treaty bc no govt can control computer code.
@bluevirginia@JonathanCohn For the record: Trump crypto fund is 100% publicly-funded money laundering for Putin and North Korea, to circumvent financial sanctions.
This move lets him cover up the paper trail that would otherwise come of it.
That said, a crypto reserve is something I wish Biden did.
@bluevirginia@JonathanCohn 👋 Dem with deep knowledge of crypto here.
Skepticism of Trump’s intentions is valid.
Bigger pic: US tax code isn’t built for crypto, so shoehorning it into existing regs caused more issues than it solved. Knowledge deficit caused Dems/Biden 2 miss opportunity 4 good policy.
