On our return to school we found out that we achieved the GOLD award for the @YourSchoolGames in 2021/22. 🏆
We achieved this by attending and competing in so many sporting events and fixtures in the last school year. A super well done to everyone!

Yesterday Year 3 had their second lesson of their football unit. We spend the lesson looking at how we can make more accurate passes. We started by passing through the gates, then moved on to a smaller target. ⚽️⚽️
In PE this term each year group is looking at OAA and football. Year 6 had their first lesson of OAA having ago at some archery. We had to learn about how the outdoor elements change the way we can aim and shoot 🏹
Last week a handful of year 4 children went over to Ashlyns to have ago at the rapid fire cricket competition. We got to play lots of games and it was so close with scoring it ended with a 3-way 2nd place that then got split down into individual points. 🏏 We had lots of fun!
Today was Year 5s turn for their feel-good week activity. They got to try out some street dance moves and had the chance to come together at the end and perform as a whole year group! 🕺🏻 #feelgoodweek
Year 6 had their super-active feel-good week activity today which was a bootcamp! They spoke about mental health and how doing exercise can help us. The two classes loved trying out different and exciting ways to keep fit. 🧠⏱️
Our Y5/6 footballers have gotten through to the next round of pool games in the DSSN competition. We are proving to be a strong team with some fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship ⚽️ #TeamTC
Yesterday afternoon we took the whole of year 6 to their Sportshall Athletics competition. The whole year competed in groups against a variety of other schools. We will be waiting to hear the results later this week… #TeamTC 🎽
Year 4 were very lucky to have a fantastic boxing workshop this morning as part of our TC feel-good week. The children absolutely loved it and enjoyed every second! ⭐️🥊 #feelgoodweek
A massive well done to Thomas, Henry, Imogen, Olive and Nova who represented TC in the Herts Schools’ Cross Country on Saturday morning. We are very proud of you all 🏃🏽♂️🏃🏻♀️ #TeamTC
With the weather having turned chilly again, please make sure children are dressed appropriately for any outdoor PE lessons. Hats, school jumpers and joggers/skins should be worn. Due to health and safety and restriction of mobility, coats and hooded clothing cannot be worn ❄️🥶
Unfortunately tonight’s y5/6 football league game against Kings Langley has been CANCELLED as the Kings Langley pitch is too frozen! 🥶 The match has been rescheduled for Tuesday 7th Feb ⚽️❄️
Yesterday afternoon some year 4 pupils took part in some netball at Berkhamsted School. They played a variety of mini games designed as an introduction to netball and worked with their friends as well as with children from Berkhamsted School. A fantastic afternoon was had by all!
This morning our year 3s have spent a rainy lesson looking at our multi-skills. Today we looked at how we use our hand-eye coordination with the speed stacks. At the end of the lesson we then looked at how reaction time helps us to win races building our towers! ✋🏽👁️
Last week a different group of year 4s went along to an afternoon of active maths. Like the literacy event, they combined their maths and PE skills to work through some challenges and again had a great time taking part 📚⚽️
On Wednesday some of our children took part in a @DSSN42 sports festival. We had lots of fun and got to try some sports we haven’t tried before, including boccia, curling and seated volleyball! 🏐🥌
A group of our Year 5 and 6 children have been representing TC in some football matches as part of the DSSN league. We have played 2 group games so far and are proving to be a good team with some great ability and teamwork. Hopefully we get through to the next round! ⚽️ #TeamTC
Last Thursday a handful of our a year 4 children spent the afternoon doing an active literacy event. They used their PE and English skills together and had a great time doing it. ✏️🎾
Our top runners from the cross country event before half term were invited along to take part in the District cross country championship. Our runners did exceptionally well and we are waiting to hear about the team results… #TeamTC
