Preprint on "BWT construction and search at the terabase scale". We can compress 100 human genomes to 11GB in 21 hours, find SMEMs with it, do affine-gap alignment and retrieve similar local haplotypes. 7.3Tb commonly sequenced bacterial genomes ⇒ 30GB https://t.co/DiRwZNHVVa
I´m thrilled to see our #LRGASP paper published in @naturemethods today. This is the work of many to benchmark long-read methods for transcriptomics, and a must-read paper for those using lrRNA-seq. Special thnks to @FJPardoPalacios and @TheBrooksLab (1/6)

Our review paper on "Genome assembly in the telomere-to-telomere era" published online in @NatureRevGenet. It amazes me how much assembly has progressed in the past four years – often ~100X improvement in contiguity and base accuracy and with haplotypes and hard regions resolved!
We are organizing an INSERM workshop entitled "Massive Genomic Data: Statistical and Bioinformatic advances" from September 16th to 18th 2024 in Bordeaux:

So excited to see my first paper published in @naturemethods !! After years of work, #SQANTI3manuscript is finally out. Let me share with you some key features of this tool and how to use it for long-read #transcriptomics. 1/24🧵🪡👇 https://t.co/j3qXZQsygA
⚡️Pleased to share our latest article reviewing the exciting potential of manipulating or even engineering long noncoding RNAs #lncRNAs to create effective, durable, economical and safe therapies for #cancer :

Preprint on Exploring gene content with pangenome gene graphs: https://t.co/quqnW7M50a. It describes pangene for building gene graphs and for calling gene-level variations which can be found at https://t.co/fjehEcrnyl.
Pleasant collaboration with @maxgmarin and @MahaFarhat.
I'm really outraged by the French govt's decision to cut almost €1 billion from the research and higher education budget. We're already far behind Germany, Austria, Belg., USA, etc. (2.22 vs 3.14, 3.26, 3.43, 3.46, etc. Wd Bk data) in terms of % of GDP devoted to research & dvpt
