Though wyverns & dragons compete in the wild for resources and territory (lairs), they come together in the #YearOfTheDragon to celebrate their common ancestry (it’s also the only day of the year @WyvernNation when swords are permitted on campus). Happy Lunar New Year to all!

What’s a perfect Friday evening in May look like at KO? How about a picnic dinner and ice cream truck with family & friends on the Senior Green for Upper School Arts Night?! Our students continue to amaze us! @WyvernNation
For 2nd year in a row @WyvernNation students in History teacher Rob Kyff’s class win BIG in the annual WALKS essay competition! (Westy, AOF, Loomis, KO, Suffield). 5th formers Emma Barringer wins top prize & Sam Auclair 2nd runner up! Thx Judge Ingrid Moll for judging the essays.
You can’t refute data with opinions. The best way to challenge evidence is with better evidence.
Confirmation bias is dismissing inconvenient facts. Critical thinking is questioning your beliefs.
The goal of learning is to pursue what's true, not defend your views.
Way to go @WyvernAthletics MS Boys basketball today! Big win over Eaglebrook. Boys played lights out! We were down 0-7 when I got there and then up 18-9 by halftime. #HOS16pointdifferentialbump? Just sayin…
@wyvernnations Form I’s interdisciplinary study wove together watersheds, rivers, indigenous populations, industrialization & refugee experiences. For some #handsonlearning & #designthinking thinking practices, they built boats in sci class and tested their buoyancy in boat races
Back-to-back meetings drain our brains. We need downtime in between to recover.
New research: even 10-minute breaks between meetings are enough to reduce stress, improve focus, and boost engagement.
Instead of defaulting to 30/60min meetings, we should schedule 20/50min blocks.
Fantastic experience for @WyvernNation@WyvernAthletics football - breaking out of their comfort zone & taking risks by learning ballet w Bdway dancer & actor Tim Hughes. The team drew the correlation btwn the athleticism, flexibility, & coordination required in both activities.
Pretty fun hosting @GUHoyasMSoccer at Kingswood Oxford School tonight for dinner and a pre-game film session. These guys are as impressive off the field as they are on it! Good luck at UConn tomorrow night. @WyvernNation@WyvernAthletics
