Our recommended paper this week examines universities and their changing roles in driving #regional#development in challenging times, beyond ambidexterity. Written by Elisa Thomas, @PughRhiannon, Danny Soetanto & Sarah Jack. https://t.co/QxmXrNwlEd
Brazil is also very shorthanded
It's so big, the northernmost point of the country is closer to all other American countries (including Canada!) than to the southernmost point in Brazil
(1/13) Brazil's research & development (R&D) expenditure is equivalent to the GDP of Haiti and close to McDonald's annual revenue.
A thread on R&D as an essential road to progress π¨βπ¬:
Very happy with the news that our article published in Growth and Change journal is one of the top cited articles published between 2021 and 2022. Free access here https://t.co/tQtI7sPjgg #regionalstudies#topcitedarticle#economicgeography#innovation
@otienogp@LFValentine@tandfonline Part of my research is about user inclusion for innovation processes in the healthcare sector. Maybe some similarities?
The systematic literature review shows that:
Β· Research on science parks is scattered around multiple disciplinary conversations
Β· Literature developed mainly through case studies
Β· Research focused on management or technology transfer while spatial perspectives are missing
New paper out just before the new year, in the Journal of Technology Transfer about science parks as a policy to promote knowledge exchange between universities and society.
