Stanford paid 35,000 people to quit social media.
This was the largest study on emotional health in history.
The results were so shocking, scientists called it "comparable to therapy."

RFK Jr. went on national TV and spouted egregious, dangerous falsehoods about vaccines. As a parent and infectious diseases doctor, I couldn't stay silent. @FoxNews might not fact-check him, but I will. I've reviewed the trials. I've catalogued them. I have receipts. 🧵

On International #MigrantsDay, I'm sharing my journey, again, from seeking safety to becoming a doctor, to show one example of how migration helps our society:
. 1999 - forced to leave family in Afghanistan to seek safety in UK aged 15 having lived childhood in war and camps
. 2001 - started college (A-levels) with not much formal education or command of English
. 2003 - got admitted to study medicine at @Cambridge_Uni despite many discouraging, saying I wasn't white and not educated enough
. 2006 - graduated from Cambridge and finished studies at Harvard and Imperial despite battling PTSD and loneliness
. 2010 - qualified as a doctor, and have since been proudly serving people in the NHS as a doctor and 🌎 as a philanthropist.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt on this journey, it’s this: refugees and migrants are not the victims, they shouldn't be politicised and weaponised as we are. We are survivors, dreamers, and contributors.
The bravery of all those who seek safety and contribute should be celebrated. Please share and join me in celebrating each and every journey 🙏
