The final chapter is finished, and I’ve finally found a chapter font I’m happy with.

Aiming for release next month with a launch trailer.

After that: heavier promotion, and possibly commissioned character art.

UPDATE #5

"Remastering" the final chapter. All other chapters sorted out.

Book 1 will have a new scene break symbol and proper chapter fonts to create the premium feel!

One of the issues of writing enormous novels is the challenge of remembering if you placed details into rightful places or not.
For the life of me, I couldn't tell if I mentioned about a companion's diaplomat childhood in Book 1 or Book 2.
It's a pain in the ass to find it.

Book I update:

Progress has slowed a little, but 130k words have now been cut.

I’m also building a release trailer for the relaunch, powered by Seedance 2.5. The results are stunning, but more on that later.

I’ve unpublished the first volume of CotB for now while I focus on remastering it.

The book needed a much sharper edition. So far, around 80k words have been removed,

A leaner, stronger Book I is coming.

Next Update: Editing Book 1 is going to swimmingly as 50k words has been pried away to increase pacing of the plotline.
If all goes well, the editing will be completed in a few more weeks and the book will be replublished again.

I’m doing another edit pass to give the published novel the polish it deserves, tightening several chapters and remastering the finale.

It’s a pain in the arse, but it should make Book I far stronger.

Audiobook proof-of-concept test.

Book 2 UPDATE:

The Chapter Rewrites, while difficult, are nearing completion.
These rewrites remaster scenes as well as new ones to improve chapter quality and update the prose.

The work is also currently half the length of the first volume.
