Hot take (?) but I really think it's Megalopolis. Openly Anti-MeToo in both narrative and casting, supports the deregulation of the tech industry, has a fairly misogynistic view of women, and probably wouldn't be given the time of day if not for Coppola. Still hilarious though!

🦔 Google is offering voluntary exit packages to employees who aren't "all in" on AI. The chief business officer told staff the company only wants people who can "embrace AI to have even greater impact." Those not ready can take severance and leave.

This comes days after Alphabet reported record revenue of $400 billion in 2025.

My Take
Record profits and they're still pushing people out the door if they're not sufficiently enthusiastic about AI. Microsoft did something similar, giving senior executives an ultimatum to get onboard with AI or leave. Amazon and Meta have their own restructuring initiatives.

The message is clear: embrace the AI pivot or you're not part of the future. I wonder how many of these "voluntary" exits are from people who've been at these companies for years, built the products that generated that $400 billion in revenue, and are now being told their skills don't matter anymore. We keep hearing that AI will augment workers, not replace them. But when companies are offering severance to anyone who isn't "all in," that story starts to sound hollow.
