Memories in the Garden
"When Monet grew older he could no longer hold pastels with his fingers, and so he taped them to his arms and drew bigger. He came back again and again to the same plants and ponds, and they were never the same."
A video about my parents, created by my brother @hooPhilip using #10Zebra, a new collaborative AI Video art platform, now in beta testing: https://t.co/E75ZavzdzW or https://t.co/m9BRPfm0O5. Music also generated by AI.

It’s great to see the walking monks touching so many people’s hearts. This song is a nice great expression of unity, appreciating Buddhism in the style of country music.

Just launched https://t.co/d592iJyyS7 to share my dad’s travel drawings and raise funds for Parkinson’s charities.
My dad, Heinz Meier, worked as an architect but loved to travel with his sketchbook close at hand.
We hope you enjoy the images!

"Fasting is the first principle of medicine." - Rumi
You've probably eaten food everyday of your life.
Give your poor body a break.
HERES HOW TO FAST AND WHY ITS SO BENEFICIAL:
@elonmusk@imPenny2x Merit alone seems insufficient. If you don’t also have a strong foundation in virtue, I fear you won’t get far beyond seeking and self benefit.
Agreed; if we can attain some measure of peace in this life, i feel we will have a better chance of uniting with Amitabha Buddha in our next life.
But to see “Amitabha present in front of our eyes” is not an easy or common place matter.
Maybe the question is: how in our cultivation should we balance focus on our present lifetime vs on the next?
In today’s world, it seems there are only two ways to be happy:
1. Stick your head in the sand and either ignore reality, or deceive yourself into making the world look a lot better than it is.
2. Commit yourself to a lifestyle that does something to improve the mess that we are in and steers, however, incrementally, towards goodness and a more positive and optimistic vision of the future.
Personally, I have trouble seeing how one can implement #2, without the basic understanding that we are all on a multi-lifetime journey.
