@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone What a gentleman you are. Answering a question that wasn't the original point and bringing up 50 what ifs is incredibly effeminate. That's basically the entirety of the "Whatever Podcast."
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader Her having a younger sister is a very specific speculation. Maybe she's the youngest. Maybe she has 5 brothers. Maybe she's an only child. Pointless to speculate.
@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone Sure, so we can move forward with our future and try and change that. But complaining about not coming from a specific family structure isn't fruitful.
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader I was giving a real world example because I had one available. We can't assume hypothetical woman has s younger sister, or any other specific family structure.
@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone I didn't say people shouldn't marry younger. I said that the church has never taught that you are entitled to it. Sometimes life just happens.
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader He started one discussion and you chose to focus on something else. You could've abstained. There's plenty of other posts to reply to.
@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone The church does not teach that women must marry and procreate by a certain age, nor that we are entitled to a spouse on a certain timeframe. There's natural law of course, but sometimes life just happens.
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader Sure, but like I said, you can't change where you're coming from, only where you're going. I'll pick on myself as an example. Can't help that I come from no family support. All I can do is be open to life and be there for my own children in the future.
@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone Nobody has argued that it isn't the result of feminism. My point is that young families can't change where they come from, only where they're going. And yes, people on average used to marry younger. But no one has ever been entitled to a spouse by a certain age.
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader Once again, what is reality is not necessarily what ought to be. I, for example have no siblings and no extended family that need my help. Would it be nice to have extended family support? Of course. But I don't.
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader That's your preference, and it's not a bad one. But the original question about the 2 women is who is more traditional? The one who works a few hours but is otherwise a dutiful wife and mother? Or the one who never leaves the house but is lazy? The answer is mom number 1.
@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone Again just because something ought to be a certain way doesn't mean it's reality. You are not promised a spouse by a certain age. It is also not "sinful" to have children later. Many people have babies 'young' and keep having them until menopause.
@YacobEpsberg@gunzofnavarrone@beherleader I'm well aware of the stresses of modern women, I am one.
If she's working a few hours, the kids are at school, not messing up the house, there's not much to do.
@YacobEpsberg@beherleader@gunzofnavarrone You're doing that thing that men always complain about women doing. "But what if this and this and this?"
Perhaps she had a scholarship or worked through school. I did. Graduated without debt.
