Nasdaq futures: +0.6%
Dow futures: +0.3%
The interesting part?
AI optimism is pushing back against two big problems: higher oil prices and higher Treasury yields.
Oil is easing this morning, while the market is watching whether Treasury yields can cool off after hitting multi-year highs.
My read:
This isn’t a clean risk-on move yet.
It’s more like buyers are stepping back in while the market waits for confirmation.
If yields keep falling, tech could have more room to run.

Why is Kosmos Energy still worth watching after the recent pullback?
Kosmos reported $607 million in Q2 revenue and $185 million in net income, while production reached roughly 71,400 boe/day, up about 12% YoY.
That matters because this is not a pre-revenue story. KOS already has producing assets and real operating cash flow.
The stock recently fell to around $2.63 after trading as high as $3.34 earlier this year, so the market is clearly pricing in plenty of risk.
One thing to watch closely: Kosmos announced a $25 million partial redemption of its 7.75% senior notes due 2027, scheduled for September 30.
The bull case is about production growth, cash generation and balance-sheet improvement.
The risks are equally real: commodity prices, execution, leverage and the capital intensity of offshore projects.

Morning Market Check
U.S. stocks are starting Thursday on the back foot.
Nasdaq futures: around -0.5%
S&P 500 futures: around -0.4%
Dow futures: around -0.2%
That’s a pretty clear shift from earlier this week, when AI momentum was pushing the Nasdaq to record highs.
Now the market is asking a different question:
Can stocks handle higher-for-longer rates?
The 10Y Treasury yield pushed above 5%, while yesterday the S&P 500 fell 0.75% and the Nasdaq dropped 1.13%.
My read: today is less about chasing AI and more about watching yields.
If yields keep climbing, expensive growth stocks could stay under pressure.

$ABTC: Why is this one still worth watching?

ABTC is still an early-stage critical minerals story, but FY2026 showed a meaningful step forward. The company reported $21.7M in annual revenue and positive adjusted gross profit, while continuing to scale its lithium-ion battery recycling and domestic lithium manufacturing operations.

The bigger story here isn’t just current revenue. It’s whether ABTC can successfully scale its technology into a larger domestic critical-minerals platform.

That’s also where the risk comes in. Scaling manufacturing takes capital, execution, and time. Revenue growth needs to translate into sustainable margins and operating cash flow.

So the thesis is pretty simple: ABTC is moving from technology development toward commercial scale, but investors still need to see consistent execution.

This is more of a 3–5 year execution story than a quick momentum trade.

Because the real story is that revenue is finally starting to show up.
Q2 revenue came in at $12.6M, up 116% YoY, and management raised 2026 revenue guidance to roughly $43M. Infleqtion ended Q2 with about $582M in cash, cash equivalents, restricted cash and securities, with no debt.
That gives the company plenty of room to keep investing in neutral-atom quantum computing, sensing and software.
The interesting part is commercialization.
Infleqtion says government and enterprise demand is accelerating, while a Commerce Department LOI could provide up to $100M in proposed funding, subject to review and finalization.
So the timeline I'm watching looks like this:
2026 revenue ramps + government/commercial contracts
2027 bigger quantum systems + more commercial deployments
Beyond prove that neutral-atom technology can turn into a scalable business
But here's the catch: $INFQ is still early-stage. Revenue is tiny compared with the valuation of a high-growth tech company, and quantum commercialization is still developing.
This isn't a “buy because quantum is cool” story.
It's a watch-the-revenue, watch-the-contracts, watch-the-technology story.
