So pleased to connect with Bob Kemerait, who turned 90 last month and is our oldest SnT participant! His dedication has shaped CTBTO since day one. He has attended more than 50 Working Groups B, and continues to inspire the next generation to advance our shared vision of a nuclear-test-free world. Deeply saddened by the passing of Ambassador Wolfgang Hoffmann, CTBTO’s first Executive Secretary. His vision and wisdom helped build the foundation of our work, and his commitment to peace and dialogue will always inspire me. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. The CTBTO SnT conference, at which Ambassador Hoffman was a favourite and regular attendee, will pause for a reflection on his contribution today at 14:30.

Since #CTBT opened for signature, there have been fewer than a dozen tests, as opposed to over 2,000 before that. I'm so thankful to Papua New Guinea for honouring its pledge and ratifying #CTBT! Since day one, as a State Signatory, #PNG has been a staunch supporter of the Treaty. With 4 IMS stations hosted in the country, 🇵🇬 continues to play a crucial role in @CTBTO's verification system.
