Big thanks to @Thompson4AD17 for speaking to us about important bills, like AB174, which establishes the Interagency Council on Homelessness to Housing, and will be heard today. Thank you for your championship of these important issues!
“I don’t want you leaving here not feeling that you can get all of your questions answered.” Chairman @Thompson4AD17 to a citizen commenter in Las Vegas, along with some guidance on how he can follow up up with officials and agencies.

THANK YOU Assemblyman @Thompson4AD17 for presenting United Way with the proclamation for UWSN Day in the Assembly! We look forward to continuing our collaboration and work towards intiatives that positively impact children and families across the state. #united4vegas#education
"Las Vegas is among the top 10 cities in the country with the largest number of unsheltered residents." - Read Assemblyman @Thompson4AD17's op-ed on #AB174, a bill which aims to address homelessness and affordable housing in NV. #nvleg#NVBlueprint https://t.co/NvtmbcagJ9
I’m a proud usher @Vmbclv in historic Westside LV, I like Bonefish Grill, but I don’t recall us having any scheduled meetings. It’s not right that you are calling me out when it’s not me you’re referring to. I’m very dedicated to ensuring children in NV have a quality education.
@Thompson4AD17 Oh I’m sorry, I must have you confused w/ someone else who likes to eat at the bonefish grill and attend church on the historic west side. My apologies
I at least got the part about you being a legislator right, didn’t I?
And the issue still stands, regardless of your memory.
@Thompson4AD17 If you wanted to know what I was talking about, you wouldn’t have stood me up at Starbucks a few weeks ago, after switching the time and location 3 times.
Seniors have to take more classes than required so the school can get their funding. It’s isnt right.
And I’m upset.
@WillyKSU@TheNVIndy@RalstonReports@JackieValley Thank you for trying to answer my questions. I understand the 4 credits are a state requirement for funding but also per state requirement are the credits needed to graduate
More people should be pushing back on this. I tried talking to @Thompson4AD17 but he backed out last min.
My heart is sad to hear of the passing of the true Queen & advocate around food insecurity in our community, Ms. Bessie Braggs. The foundation she laid in this work will never be forgotten. She helped many individuals/families to access food/basic needs in her life’s work. ♥️🙏🏾
Most importantly, this was bipartisan legislation acknowledging that the Charter School Authority must draft a 5 Year Growth Management Plan for Success, conduct site evaluations, & work closely w/school districts to ensure schools are comprised of diverse student populations.
We are very pleased to announce that a partnership has been forged between the Ass. Ed. Chair Tyrone Thompson and the public charter school community to remove the moratorium and ensure that the future of #NVCharter growth benefits ALL of Nevada's youth! #AB462#NoMoratorium
