#3 Kaelani Shufeldt (North Central) had something happen in the 110 lb NCAA Women’s quarterfinals that no wrestler should ever face.

With a lead and a trip to the semifinals on the line, her opponent appears to bite herself, yet Kaelani is blamed and disqualified from the tournament- eliminating any chance at the podium.

A moment that should have been about advancement instead turned into a travesty.

At this level, this should never happen.
A wrestler was robbed of a major opportunity.

This needs to be addressed.
