@inStreamly@DisneyPlus@SkyShowtime@dfs_de Hey,
Before I got too involved in using InStreamly, I wanted to confirm if it goes against Twitch ToS.
Specifically, Section 12:
Advertisements:
Third-party advertising networks are not allowed to serve advertising through the Twitch Services.
@wolfieoiboy@Twitch@kick@YouTubeGaming It doesn't necessarily mean the audience will shrink. But if you aren't making content outside of the streaming platform, your discoverability could take a large hit.
If people are genuinely interested in you, they'll go wherever you are to connect with you. 💜, 💚 or otherwise.
I'll start: @CraftsCarl. Twitch Partner and founder of Hardcore Hearts.
Carl crafts the most engaging, creative and captivating Minecraft streams that I have ever seen. All the way from his Starting Soon screen to the very last moment.
Enjoy Minecraft creators? Check him out!
@SnailOXD_YT @Twitch@TwitchSupport And they probably don't care that businesses don't have ads shown effectively. As long as they're getting paid?
I'm sure @woolworths wouldn't want to know that their liquor store, BWS, is being advertised to 13-year-olds.
@SnailOXD_YT @Twitch@TwitchSupport It concerns me deeply
I should be able to tell Twitch who my target audience is.
Not only would it make it safer for younger audiences, it also makes ads more effective for businesses.
A business could select their target demographic and be more sure their ads are seen by them
@StolpiTv @Zoveria1 That is true :)
That is why I said it's not 'entirely' correct.
It will be less than 1% of users who receive anything from Kick directly. A huge majority of us will never be in that same position.
@StolpiTv @Zoveria1 My concern is that they promote Stake quite heavily.
So, I could end up bringing an ex-gambling addict to a relapse.
I could expose under-18s to gambling and accidentally be a cause in their future addiction or misfortune.
@StolpiTv @Zoveria1 This isn't entirely correct. You get your money from the people who sub/gift to you.
Kick isn't giving you a split of their Stake business revenue, or any money at that, which doesn't come from your stream.
@Zoveria1 Business: How much to advertise in Twitch?
Twitch: 1 million dollars!
Business: Pfft. I'll just give a few creators 50 bucks. They'll do it.
Twitch: ... hold on a sec.
...
Twitch: Here's our Venmo.
@SnailOXD_YT I agree, but I also think Indie gaming is becoming far less niche fairly quickly now.
I'd credit it to indie games being released in early-access or beta and being more polished than most recent AAA games.
It seems I can trust an Indie to be good, more than a AAA game release.
