Largely baffled by the folk of the world; voracious reader; spinner of plates; musician; teacher; composer; drama leader; wazzock; a bit lefty. Thanks.
@yvanciborow@AuschwitzMuseum Steady on, though. The Germans of today are absolutely not the Nazis of the Second World War. Holding today’s people of Germany responsible for these acts of atrocity would be bonkers.
Just finished “How Not to be Wrong” by @mrjamesob and thoroughly enjoyed it, perhaps even more so than “How to be Right”. I found the (sometimes) brutal honesty and openness with which he writes to be inspiring and uplifting. An excellent book. Thank you, James. Genuinely.
@Nigel_Farage Use of the word “invasion” is wrong, Nigel. It’s not an “invasion”, and I believe you use the word to work people’s tempers up. This isn’t patriotism you’re displaying, mate. It’s hate-mongering.
@helenczerski I genuinely try and see a sensible reason behind decisions I disagree with (i.e. Brexit, voting for the Tories, not taxing the super-wealthy, etc.) so I might sleep better. I regularly fail to find any.
This being a case in point.
