[Michael Smith @Smith_Michael4]

Due to circumstances My time at Thorn Athletic 2007s has unfortunately came to an end, a club that brought me on board to learn and develop as not just a goalkeeping coach but a coach as a whole. Gutted to be leaving is an understatement such a well ran club from top to bottom.

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Good start back for the boys, first half was a bit of a slow start which is expected in the first game back but gradually grew into things, a victory to go along with a run out for the boys is always a positive.

Thanks to St Cadocs for the game and best of luck for the season🤝

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Back to action for the boys as our preparations for the new season begin tonight against a good St Cadocs side 💙

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Good luck Evan with the step up to U20s, another player making the move up to development football💙

[Thorn Athletic U20s Development Squad @ThornYFC2006]

Another signing to announce before our game tonight is winger Evan Adamson.

Evan is another 2007 who impressed last season after joining from neilston - Evan adds power and pace to the attack

Welcome Ev 💙

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Great lad to have at the club as a whole with the work rate and attitude you need to succeed good luck Ewan💙

[Thorn Athletic U20s Development Squad @ThornYFC2006]

Another boy stepping up from our 2007s is Ewan McKinlay. Ewan is a talented attacking player who has great work rate and a tremendous left foot, Ewan already has a hat trick under his belt at 20s and we look forward to seeing how he does this season. Welcome Ewan 💙

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Both GKs making the step up aswell as still playing a part for us too, player pathway💙

[Thorn Athletic U20s Development Squad @ThornYFC2006]

And another goalkeeper added to the squad from 2007s. Sam Tennant - Sam played a big part in getting us over the line in the league last season a great boy as well as a special talent. Welcome Sam 💙

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Well deserved Lman, glad to see the pathway constantly coming into effect💙

[Thorn Athletic U20s Development Squad @ThornYFC2006]

We’d like to welcome our third new signing to the team Liam McLaughlin who makes the step up from our 2007s. Liam is one of the best goalkeepers around and with him only just turning 17 his maturity and understanding of game is second to none 💙

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Real sore one today to take but congratulations to @Drumsagard2007 on their deserved victory.

We will now break and start prepping for next season in a few weeks, thank you to all players, parents and staff for commitment this season we go again💙

Finally tonight was the Player Of The Year award and the winner was Jamie Milligan, Jamie rejoined the team after a spell at Hillwood. Jamie has been an influential signing since coming back to Thorn and thoroughly deserved to win this award this evening.

Congratulations Jim💙

Second up tonight was the Players Player Of The Year award and picking up this award voted for by his teammates was Ewan McKinlay since joining from Bonnyton in the Summer he has been a cracking signing both on and off of the pitch.

Congratulations Ewan💙

Tonight is presentation night for the lads, and first up we had Top Goalscorer for the season which with 21 goals was won by Leo Szolowski. Leo was brought in last summer from Gleniffer and he’s continued his top goalscoring form with us this season

Congratulations Leo💙

@NeilstonFC2006s We would be interested mate

[Thorn Athletic 2007s @Thorn2007s]

Today wasn’t meant to be, the boys gave everything and worked hard with a light squad in today’s final but marginally just missing out on penalties. We dust ourselves down and go again in our final game of the season in the league cup final in 2 weeks.

Congratulations to EKYC🤝
