@TomLoweCinema@AstrusDastan@AndrewCurran_ ASML licenses the EUV tech from a group of american companies. If USA has proof ASML was acting in bad faith, the license could be revoked and ASML would have to stop making those machines.
@matthewstoller Much of Democratic leadership is in leadership positions not because they're good at fighting Republicans, but because they're effective at fighting upstart Democrats.
@matthewstoller Follow-up question: How much of Apple's manufacturing is coming to the U.S? Will it be for a complete device, or just a few screws, or the glue that holds their phones together?
@danielnewmanUV Yeah, but the guy who got Intel to this turn-around point was fired by the BOD. What hope is there for Intel's future as long as this board remains? Especially the chairman.
@matthewstoller Jim Keller also thinks itโs a terrible idea.

It would be complete idiocy to let other companies take over just as Intel seems to be on the verge of a breakout. But, idiocy is what Intelโs board specializes in.
@danielnewmanUV I'm guessing that Intel's board approached TSMC and Broadcom with this idea because they can't find anyone who wants the CEO job at Intel. Anyone willing to take the job should make their acceptance of the position conditional on the entire board of directors resigning.
