The 2021 events have just been announced, which as I'm sure many would be delighted to hear, includes Oktober fest, and Fright Nights!
Could we see a return of some classic old fan favourite mazes for the 20th Anniversary? Lets hope so!
The government currently appears to be targetting a 12th of April reopening of outdoor hospitality. Baring any setbacks, let's hope this is the date for @THORPEPARK to reopen!
@THORPEPARK I cannot stress to you how much a return of this incredible maze would benefit the event (which has been in huge decline over the years since Asylums removal... It is even recognised by long term FN fans as the scariest, so bring your first ever maze back for the 20th
As voted by https://t.co/tFGNwpdB13 The Asylum (essentially a renamed "The Freezer") is considerably the scariest maze Thorpe have ever made. It was also the first maze they ever had.
@THORPEPARK it makes every bit of sense to bring back your first and scariest maze... TAKE NOTES
Thorpe have just confirmed the fright nights 2020 attraction lineup... Featuring 2 up-charge horror mazes, including Platform 15, Roots of Evil, and multiple other attractions. Noticibly there are no IP attractions for the first time in years, seeing Thorpe using their own ideas.
However, nearly all of the guests at the park today made no effort to socially distance themselves from other groups which was very uncomfortable and risky. This is something the park should really try to tackle very soon.
Ride operations today were fastastic and rapid. 2/2
Upon my visit to the park today, it was fantastic to see Thorpe have properly taken action upon the knife attack a couple of weeks ago and added a proper security checkpoint fitted with metal detectors. This was a much needed but sadly, overdue security improvement... 1/2
Thorpe parks fright nights dates have once again been changed, with all events running from 10am to 9am. It was looking like we wouldn't get an event with 5am closes, but this looks more promising...
@nige_hall @THORPEPARK But parks in the USA have good security, so Merlin should take a leaf out of their book and and use similar techniques here. Just like security in alot of european parks is also much better. I think it's inadequete and needs to be better to block out weapons. Especially Thorpe.
Terrible incident at Thorpe Park today. Condolences to everyone at the park, and to everyone affected by this hidious act.
I really encourage @THORPEPARK and Merlin Entertainment to improve security at all parks such as the use of metal detectors, as they do in the USA
...something @THORPEPARK will hopefully improve on.
Thorpe Park are looking really good this year, which hopefully they can build upon and carry on into delivering a great 2020 season, despite the current situation.
For the first time in 9 months, after experiencing the park there were many positive things to take away from my experience today.
Firstly the coasters were absolutely hauling. I've had the most intense rides for a long time on Nemesis Inferno and The Swarm...
There was no absense of park wide music through out all the areas and queue lines which created a great atmosphere; however, it did become quite repetitive with the remixed ride songs like colossus, and park wide music all based around the same main theme...
