Case in point: As I am often in the wilder places, I’ve found bodies before. One time I found one in the water.

When the police showed up, they first denied it was a body, then started questioning me about why I was hiking there and why I called them about a body that was obviously not.

The fire dept showed up, guy said: “oh yeah, we got refloater, been in there awhile.”

Police treated me like a criminal. They laughed at me when I complained that I had called them and they started accusing me of crimes and investigating me. Couldn’t even recognize a floating dead body.

Police are not on your side.
