@velentinesday@Niko_Fan21@indigonir Bro, there will always be religious leaders saying wild crap. Have you seen mega churches? You’re acting like just because a handful of scholars say wild stuff that’s it’s all of them. Majority of scholars agree it’s the husband’s job to take care of his wife.
@velentinesday@indigonir When it comes to the Quran and Hadith, you usually also have to look at Seerah for the context of it. There is a whole system for determining whether a Hadith is authentic or not. Tafsir As-Saadi and Ibn Kathir go into detail explaining the Quran and what it is saying.
@velentinesday@indigonir The thing is that can happen with literally every religion. There will always be those weirdos who twist it to fit their agenda. It is important to try to find the most objective scholars, learn, and avoid confirmation bias.
@velentinesday@indigonir Those sheikhs wilding bro. Every sheikh and imam I've listened to always states it's the husband's responsibility to take care of their wife. There is literally a story of Uthman (ra) staying behind when the Battle of Badr was happening so he could take care of Ruqayyah.
@Marmartota2001 We mainly wear hijab because it's what is asked of us by God, not for men (contrary to popular belief). So yes, she'd still have to wear it.
