‘Chicago Ray’ walks back trucker NYC boycott, but says ‘leave Trump alone’

This post is actually NOT about Trump (though everyone should know how I feel about him. Instead this post is about the news. This is something everyone must understand about the news orgs, they will take the tiniest thing and make it seem like a huge deal.

Yesterday FOX News (but plz believe that ALL news orgs from CNN thru BBC do this) made a huge deal about this one trucker who apparently “stands with Truckers for Trump” called for all truckers to boycott NYC after the $350 mil verdict in Trump’s fraud trial. It was going to shut down NYC.

"My advice for New Yorkers is start stocking up... there's millions of Truckers for Trump millions of us... leave Trump TF alone," Chicago Ray's original post read. 

Yea, “millions of us”… First, just because one guy says there’s “millions” of truckers that support Trump, doesn’t mean there is. Second, just because one guy on X says there should be a boycott, doesn’t mean anyone’s going to follow him.

And today, he reversed yesterday’s post:

"I took that video down from Friday bc it went viral and my Grandson seen it on Tik Tok…”

Not sure what his grandson has to do with this, but ok.

The point however is that when a news org reports they saw a post on FB or X that says something, it doesn’t mean anyone else is going to do anything about it or even care. When they say ‘social media blew up over…’ it means that one post went up and a few other people saw it and liked or shared it.

Do certain posts/videos go “viral”? Of course, but the definition of “viral” could be a few thousand to, yes, millions.

So what is the take away from this post? Read the news article to see what numbers they are saying caused it to be important enough to write a story about. What is happening and how many people are taking some kind of action as a result of it.

All of this goes to telling you to not accept the crap the news feeds you. Use critical thinking when reading and see how big something really is. Do a couple of clicks of research to see what’s really happening.

Politicians & the news are all out to steer you the way they want. Only YOU can protect yourself from the BS. This is one small example, just a little bit of looking around and you’ll begin to see tons of them.

This is a tough year to live thru anyway, don’t let them fool you and make it any tougher.

Trump attacks Haley for absence of her husband, who is deployed

TRUMP SUPPORTERS, this is the man you support. I blasted Biden for the special counsel report saying he’d be looked at “…as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,”. But your guy can’t remember a key fact about Nikki, that her husband is a Major in the South Carolina National Guard, currently on deployment in Africa. An attack on a military member. Just wow.

If you are a veteran or active military member, and you accept this unfounded and unwarranted attack, then that’s fine. I certainly don’t expect anyone to ditch him over this, but you need to know this is who he is.

And for those that say this is a CNN article and probably not true, take a minute to Google this speech from last night. You’ll hear it right out of his own mouth.

I will never support Biden, and this only adds another straw to the huge pile of why I’ll never support Trump again.

Full disclosure (that most of you know): I voted for Trump in both the previous elections.

One last thing, if either of these old guys wants to prove that they are competent and the other guy isn’t, then both should take a mental competency test. In fact, if either one did, then that would force the other into it. It shouldn’t be too hard to set up an independent panel to sort that out with full transparency. So when either side says their guy is good to go and the other guy isn’t, then get your guy to step up. Just sayin’…

Biden angrily pushes back…

Wow. Beyond epic. This is the worst possible way for the probe into President Biden having classified docs to end.

Note: I’ve said and will always say that I will never vote for either Trump or Biden. I’m just a realist about how the election was just handed to Trump by a special counsel.

“We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,”

So the President has 2 options, either his memory is going and he looks like a “…well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory”, or he’s as sharp as a tack and could stand trial for this alleged crime.

On the crime side, “…Hur found evidence that Biden willfully held onto and shared with a ghostwriter highly classified information…”. Read the full article for the details. So if he did that, and is competent to stand trial, then he should stand trial (let’s skip for now the whole can you take a sitting President to trial thing).

But if he is, a “…well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory”, then what the hell is he doing as President!!!!!

Pick one folks, you don’t get to have both. And that bit about him being distracted by the Oct 7th Hamas attack is even worse. I’d hope that the man in charge of the most devastating military in the history of mankind could keep both in his head at the same time. Unbelievable.

This is precisely why many people, even many Democrats, question his ability to run again, win the nomination, get thru the campaign, and win. The man couldn’t even remember what years he was Vice-President!!! Uh, the 2nd most important years of his life and he couldn’t get a grip on that.

Oh, and what about that little bit of what if he doesn’t make it thru that next term due to his age and/or mental abilities? Then we get President Harris. Can any Democrat seriously tell me that they are good with her being in charge? And before someone tells me I’m sexist or racist, I’ve supported Nikki Haley from the beginning.

Now, not next week, not next month, now is the time for him to step out. Then let their party decide who they think could beat Trump. There’s only one name I could think of that could possibly do it, and they’ve had exactly zero minutes of actual governing experience, Michelle Obama. And again, let’s leave that debate for another post.

But I just don’t see any other Democrat being able to beat Trump. The top name other than Obama would be the Governor of California, Gavin Newsome, and he’d barely be a speed bump for Trump. So I don’t know who the Democrats should pick, that’s their problem, they made this mess, now they have to clean it up.

And what does this mean for Trump? Well the easy one is that it hands him a HUGE attack point for the campaign. Heck, he could almost run on that issue alone, ‘is Biden competent and if not, do we want Harris to become President?’ And yes, there’s been questions about if Trump is on the ball and mentally competent to serve, but that’s another post.

The other side of that is what does it mean for Trump’s classified documents case? There are subtle differences (some will say major, but that’s not the point here), between the 2 cases. But for most intents and purposes, they’re the same. So does Trump now get a pass or do we continue to prosecute him? That is another HUGE campaign point for Trump, ‘look folks, there IS a 2 tiered system, one for the Biden’s (yes I used the plural), and one for me’! That would prove, for every Republican, or wannabe Republican, that the Democrats are corrupt.

WOW, what a mess. This is the textbook definition of a no-win situation. So, I’ll just end this rant here so you can talk amongst yourselves about WTF. All I will say in closing is that IF Trump is the Republican candidate, this may have just handed the election to him, maybe even in the numbers he always claims he has. Yep, what a goatf*ck…🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Or, we will never have a functioning government again…

This is the age of hatred. This is the age of my way or else. This is the age where an infinitely tiny majority of either party allows just a couple of members of the House or Senate to completely derail any bill that isn’t exactly the way they want it, and if the bill changes for those few, the ones that passed into the 1st place can derail it in return.

This is also the age of if those guys support it, we have to hate it. If they are opposed to it, we’ll love it. And that’s just infantile.

This is the age of eye for an eye. There’s an old saying, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. They impeached our guy, we’ll impeach their’s. Was either (or both) worthy of impeachment? I’m not going to discuss that here. There are equal numbers of those that say yes & others no. Which is the whole point of this rant.

Back in the early 80’s, Ronald Regan and Tip O’Neil (and if you don’t know who that is, there’s a large part of the problem), would sit down over a Scotch and work things out. Two leaders of their respective parties and they could simply talk it out.

Governing is about serving the people, not your people, ALL the people. Donald Trump recently banned anyone who supports Nikki Haley from ever donating to his campaign. He may disagree with those who do, but when the general election comes, he’ll need those votes to carry him over the top (my opinion).

Governing in a Constitutional Republic (NOT a democracy, and if you don’t know that, there’s another part of the problem…), is about working with all views to find the answer that will work for all. Opposing any thing the other side brings up is just gridlock.

Unless the American people give either party a “super majority” in both the House and Senate, AND also hold the White House, nothing will ever get done again.

This is an election year. Using the example of the obvious #1 issue right now, illegal immigration, it is NOT in the interest of EITHER party to pass any kind of a bill that will get signed by the President. By preventing any compromise going thru, both Trump & Biden get to point fingers and blame the other party. I have my opinions about what to do about the border, but by never working anything out, our border will remain a free for all.

We are stuck in a giant hole that I don’t see anyway out of. Unless and until, the middle/moderate independent voters decide that they’ve had enough of BOTH party’s BS, and elect someone who can and will work together towards fixing the issues that confront us, this is the way it will be.

The problem is that the middle HAS had it with both parties, but are showing it by not voting at all. They quit. Until someone can bring them together, we’re stuck.

This is the government you elected. I did as well. No one is innocent here, even those who don’t vote, you’re guilty by abstaining. And this is the way it will be until a major incident happens to seriously damage either party. And then all that will happen is the other guys will take over for a bit.

TRUMP THREATENS TO BLACK LIST HALEY DONORS

So, I guess, if you consider yourself to be MAGA, UNFRIEND ME THIS INSTANT. Do not read another word. Not because I don’t want to be friends, but because your leader has barred me. Read what he posted below:

“Trump wrote on Truth Social that anyone who makes a contribution to the Haley campaign "from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp." (See link to news story below)

This is absolutely infantile. As of now, democracy in the Republican Party, or rather for anyone who opposes Trump, is over. We are officially not allowed to have a choice.

So if someone donates to Nikki Haley, which I have since she began her run, and, if Trump gets the nomination, decides to support him as the Republican nominee, they can’t. They are barred from those who support him now.

If YOU as a Trump supporter agree with this, unfriend me this instant. I mean RIGHT THE F*CK NOW. I am an adamant supporter of Nikki Haley. I also have made it clear that I will never support Trump. Not EVER. And this bullsh*t is exactly why.

The last time I checked, our country is a constitutional republic. We get to choose who we want to run our country for us. And those elected are supposed to govern for all of us, even those who didn’t vote for whomever wins. This is a clear declaration that Trump will be a dictator for anyone who opposed him (and not just on that 1st day).

So my response to this is, If you support him, you are barred from…, oh wait, I do believe in our little experiment in democracy. So yes, you can be friends with me. You get to support Trump, you get to post anything you want to help his cause. That is your right, just as it’s my right to support Nikki Haley, or anyone else I want to. We can, what’s that thing where folks can’t come to an accord? Oh yea, agree to disagree. Grownups do that kind of thing…

And to make things vastly worse for the MAGA crowd, I’ll even be friends with (Blasphemy here) Democrats, or folks from any party they choose. Yea, that democracy and what, that constitution thingy with that pesky 1st Amendment is a real b*tch.

So to my friends that are Trump supporters, especially those who consider themselves “MAGA”, my question is, can I be friends with you?
