De Gea was very good today despite the late goals. 0.93 goals prevented. Manchester United have spent about 80M euros on goalkeepers since letting him walk, lol.

Sucic was a demon after coming on. Great to see substitute midfielders making a difference this season.

@patrickendrick @RSharmzz Contact isn't even subjective. Darmian even went to ground dramatically in a bid to pin the contact on Thuram lol. But the trailing leg obviously initiates it. Many argued there wasnt enough, which is valid, but it implies the existence of contact, which is enough half the time.

@patrickendrick @RSharmzz Aside from the fact someone whose initials are PK should be obligated to claim all penalties, there's also the image below. Last week was soft, but that's not a "never" pen in Serie A. That's a 50%-of-the-time pen. At least.

In any case, didn't need either.

Mkhi's passing range, positional sense, disciplined defence, the apparent drop in quality for each yard closer to goal he gets - I'm a bit surprised he hasn't gotten more of a shot at regista. Profiles better than Zielinski, imo.

What might be going under the radar a bit is that it was Carlos Augusto who broke up Shakhtar's attack before the goal.

That passage of play should be shown to every young player. Defensive and offensive quality as well as commitment all exemplified.

Needs to be rewarded.

So the lackluster attacking performace was planned in advance? OK, I guess. Not sure at home vs. Shakhtar was the time to risk a bore draw, but it was a learning experience.
