Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate
Starting off the new year in style. I needed my Homestar fix, but didn't feel like playing all of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. This felt like a bite-sized version of that game, which is exactly what I needed.
154 played, 40 beaten.
For a moment, I was glad to see that I've only beaten 40 games this year as opposed to last year's 49 games.
Then I remembered that I played through RE4 remake 5 times and also played the DLC campaigns for RE4 and FFVIIR, so it's almost like 46 games.
@Mattmanver2 That's honestly insane. I don't want to see that amount of money spent on any single piece of entertainment, let alone some boring streaming show.
I have 130 less followers here than I did a month ago because they were all bot accounts. That is an outrageous number, considering I don't have many followers to begin with.
I don't even know who I'm complaining to. The algorithm will prevent anyone from reading this anyways.
I'm WAY more active on the less ad and bot riddled alternative to this abominable website. For better AND worse, it feels like how Twitter felt 5 years or so years ago.
I just wish all my Twitter mutuals were on there, 'cause more than ever, it feels like I'm talking to the void.
But seriously, I hate this place. It's just ad after ad after ad. All the replies are either bots, or blue checkmarks who are even more soulless than the bots. I hardly ever see any of my mutuals' posts. There's no real interaction. Just retweets of big accounts posting insanity.
Can't get over how many new Yakuza games are coming out.
Last year: Ishin and Gaiden.
This year: Infinite Wealth.
Next year: Pirate Yakuza.
And now Project Century after that. This series has been treating me real good.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
I now have a newfound appreciation for DQIII. This game was a masterclass in exploration, nonlinear adventuring, worldbuilding, and subtextual storytelling. I felt like I completed an epic journey by the end of it.
1.)
Metroid: Zero Mission
One of my favorite games ever, my second-favorite Metroid behind Super, and one I always recommend starting with to people new to the series.
A short, sweet, and breezy swashbuckling alien adventure. Video games don’t get much better than this.
25.)
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
My 2nd time beating Klonoa! The game is great to look at, with the spectacle of 2D levels that twist and loop around in a 3D space, but it ultimately feels kinda loose and floaty, and the core grabbing mechanic isn’t as responsive as I’d’ve liked.
If they ported this to modern consoles with all the 3DS version's extra content and QoL, I would happily drop everything to put another 100 hours into this amazing game for the third time.
COR BLIMEY! Those 20 years really snuck up on us!
On this day in 2004, #DragonQuest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King was first released in Japan ⚔️
Which of your ragtag band of allies was your favorite?
2.)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
I’m glad it’s been nearly 8 years since I last played this absolute masterpiece, since everything felt so fresh and exciting again. This is the pinnacle of the Zelda series and perhaps the most epic feeling game I’ve ever played.
