Three African countries have begun construction of a gas pipeline to Europe that bypasses Russia โ Business Insider.
Algeria, Niger, and Nigeria are carrying out the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline project, which, once completed, will be capable of supplying the EU with up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas annually.
Construction work has already started in Algeria. The total length of the gas pipeline will exceed 4,000 km.
The project is considered one of the key routes for replacing Russian gas on the European market.
FREDERIKSEN: One of the things where I have disagreed with some of my colleagues is all the red lines that have been put on Ukraine, because I don't think you can win a war with red lines.
You remember in the beginning, we were willing to give away some of our F-16s. We were not allowed to do that because some allies said, "Well, we cannot put our fighter jets in Ukraine."
Then we had questions about long-range weapons. That was also red line. There have been so many red lines. It's almost like we have asked you to defend Europe with one arm behind your back.
That has not been fair. And one of the ways to get around some of these red lines is producing directly in Ukraine, because now you can produce some of the weapons that some allies have been refusing to give you.
@LBCNewsWales Can you add some evidence to your bland regurgitation of their press release?
Dwr Cymru are also cutting staff, so maybe you'd like to report on that. And something about the executives' salaries?
@katebattrick The designer of the Brooklyn bridge died before it was finished and his wife completed the project in 1883 which was a remarkable thing for a woman in those days.
@MumofFatCassie That's what I say - disappointing. No scrutiny, no actual fact, no holding Wes to account. Goodall knows better but it seems his commercial owners are pulling the strings and he's forgotten his roots.
@MumofFatCassie I understand the story. I'm just disappointed at Goodall's line of inquiry. I haven't heard the rest of it though, so maybe he redeems himself elsewhere.
@katebattrick Pah! In the old days (when we were young) publishers never expected the first three to do much - they were for honing your craft. You're doing fine xx
Phenomenal detail from @FT obituary of the great Alex Younger, from @charles_clover & @JP_Rathbone:
When Dominic Cummings called him for the first time, he asked Younger what he was doing. โPlotting evil shit,โ Younger replied.

@1goodtern The judge, remarkably sympathetic towards the police, said as much in his sentencing report. The culprit had lied, got his brother to lie, hidden the weapon and the victim's phone. The judge mentioned people lying about being injured and that it was dark. But few have read it.
Unfortunately, the term "Belarusisation" has evolved into "Georgianisation". 304 repressive laws were fast-tracked in Georgia in under 2 years โ GYLAโs new data shows targeted hits on CSOs, protests and funding. The Russia-aligned Georgia's ruling elite is aggressively replicating the repressive playbooks of Belarus and Russia.
