Government is meant to provide the framework for business and culture to unfold. Period. It’s meant to provide the rules for the game, and it’s meant to referee the game, but it’s not meant to play it.

I recently listened to the #telepathytapes and wanted to better understand what it says about telepathy in nonspeaking autistic individuals. So I got together with some folks to talk about it from the perspective of #rudolfsteiner's #anthroposophy.

@Cernovich Wildly popular? 29.18% of eligible Americans voted for Trump. 28.32% for Harris. 42.5 didn’t vote. If Harris had taken one percentage point from Trump and won, would anyone call her "wildly popular"?
He should listen to the judges and, if need be, take it to the supreme court.
@danengber at @TheAtlantic just published a takedown of the #TelepathyTapes that I thought was a pretty stunning example of some of the failures of scientism. I wrote a short piece about it here: https://t.co/5UrNOhcc59
@danengber I appreciate your attempt to give an alt explanation for what's in the #TelepathyTapes (most skeptics don't bother), but it falls woefully short. Love? And the argument around FC is backwards. And it doesn't touch on anything after Ep. 2. Here's my reply: https://t.co/5UrNOhcc59
Disinformation is a kind of spiritual plague.

#RudolfSteiner often spoke publicly about societal transformation, but very rarely about #OrganizationalDevelopment. That said, he did speak privately with different professional groups and his insights are pretty astounding...

@barrycunningham If it’s an honest question then the answer is that nation isn’t the same as country, it actually means ethnicity or culture. That’s why we have white nationalists, black nationalists, Hindu nationalists, First Nations, etc. We mix them up because we sometimes merge nation & state
Both miss the essential link between freedom & diversity - we can't have one w/o the other. And very few see the glaring fact that a state-run school system violates the essential freedom enshrined in the 1st amendment. PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL. https://t.co/NCeiCsrVzt
Are we a Christian country or a country built on diversity?
Many conservatives say we're Christian, but champion freedom, which can only mean folks are free to believe whatever they want.
Many liberals say we’re diverse, but champion ideologically-uniform public schools...
The 1st Amendment is about freedom of thought; the state shouldn't have a say in what we think & believe.
But government (i.e. "public") schools can't help but tell us what to think... therefore they're obviously unconstitutional.
What am I missing? https://t.co/5ozstmuaM4
Some new work - a course that Robert Karp and I will be offering this year in Wisconsin. Please share with anyone you think might be interested and hope to see you there!

@BallouxFrancois Scientists are human - “hyper competitive” - and can’t be blamed if they fudge the truth a little. They’re “just a bunch of people hoping for mostly moral reasons that something may really not be true.”
I don’t remember science and scientists being presented this way 3 yrs ago…
Andrew Sullivan did something groundbreaking (though definitely not perfectly). He wrote a piece on the #LGBTQ movement that tries to separate the state from the individual, politics from culture. This is what's needed. Here's my take on it: https://t.co/tUbvCb1fMu

@ThouArtThat@bfcarlson Maybe that's true for some, but it wasn't for me. I felt like drugs just messed w my chemistry and made me see things. It felt physical. Heavy. Loud. It felt like it replaced the natural sense I had for the spirit when I was young which was far more fleeting, delicate inspired.
@ThouArtThat@bfcarlson My point is not that people can't have difficult or profound experiences on drugs, but that the drugs are doing the lion's share of the work. They do all the heavy lifting :) They alter your consciousness and then you get to react. It's a lot harder getting there on your own...
@ThouArtThat@bfcarlson Just seems to me that we have the possibility of developing ourselves spiritually, but it's incredibly hard, and taking drugs is incredibly easy, so that's what we do. We're curious. We're impatient. (And we want to have fun!) So we take shortcuts. But why would that help?
@ThouArtThat@bfcarlson own purely willed activity. We're forcing our way into a place we're not prepared to enter. We haven't built the capacities. Why would that be useful? Doesn't it seem kind of arrogant? And why would beneficent beings meet us there and not ones who wish to waylay our development?
