A Citrin POLITICO poll reportedly found 62 percent of registered voters rate the Democrat governor fair or poor.

About three in four gave him bad marks on homelessness and housing. Only 28 percent want the next governor to keep his policies.

The Secretary of State had 2.97 million early ballots cast statewide through Thursday. Harris County smashed its first-day midterm record with more than 104,000 voters.

Democrats are turning out in the big cities because they think this is the year they finally flip Texas.

New polling has Talarico ahead of Attorney General Ken Paxton. I don't care whether you believe the polls. Act like they're true and vote like your state depends on it, because it does.

Early voting runs through Friday, October 30. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
